The program that has the best chance of competing with UConn is....ours. ND, Stanford, Maryland, others, have been better in recent years, but they don't have our pedigree and, while they all recruit well and have great players, we have the potential to recruit better. I mean, we had the supposed No. 1 class this past year despite the falloff in our program. But of course we're not going to compete with UConn--or anybody good--until we get a first-rate head coach and staff. That's the sad thing as we sit and prepare to watch Miss. State, a longtime SEC doormat, play the Final Four game we should be playing but haven't played in more than a decade.

We don’t have a chance with the roster we have this year. A bigger and more talented team might do better next year, but the freshmen have to play like Juniors and DD has to return. We would have to hit a very hight % of shots from behind the arc, and the defense would have to cut off the baseline and defend the paint. We would have to win the rebounding by 10 or more and limit their offensive rebounds t0 5 or less. However, it can be done.

Miss St 36-28 at the half... UConn will probably still win but the match ups are closer then some here were saying. UConn doesn't exactly blow you away with quickness.

This must be a real bracket buster... for the 6 people who actually did fill one out for the women's tournament.
