With what will most likely be a 5-3 conference record?

They've definitely got the easier go of it, as opposed to Florida and S. Carolina.

I don't understand the heat that Dooley is getting after the UGA game. UGA is a GOOD team, highly improved from the Boise game. They look the like best team in the East.

Even with the injuries, UT is a 6 win bowl team this year. That's exactly what every rational person had them pinned as before the season started. Settle down everybody.

they aren't the best team in the east, unless Muschamp really is a buffoon.

I said early that UF would win it and they will. I don't think anyone in the East will beat UF.

What's the word on Brantley's injury?

UGA v. UF is debatable, but UGA has the easier schedule going forward.

UF
2-2 right now
I think they beat UGA, Vandy, and USC; lose to Auburn
finish 5-3

UGA
3-1 right now
I think they beat Vandy and Kentucky; lose to Florida and Auburn
finish 5-3

USC
3-1 right now
I think they beat Miss St and Tennessee; lose to Arkansas and Florida
finish 5-3

If Brantley was back for this week, I'd pick Florida over Auburn, and then the east is Florida's. With either Driskel or Brisset, I think Auburn wins

Before the season started, when Hunter and Bray were still healthy and Janzen was still on the team, they were better than a 6-6 team. You could make the argument that if Hunter was healthy, we could be undefeated right now. He meant that much to our offense.

As for the East, at this point I would be surprised if UGA doesn't win it.

As of right now, I'm thinking:

Georgia 6-2, losses to SC + Florida
SC 6-2, losses to Auburn + Arkansas (SC wins tiebreaker in this scenario, of course)
Florida 5-3, losses to Bama + LSU + SC

Florida might be the best team in the East, but they've probably got the toughest schedule of a team not named Tennessee.

I just can't agree with that.

As for Hunter being back and you being undefeated, I think that's ridiculous. Having Hunter back doesn't fix the run game.

I don't think we'd be undefeated, but we'd win more than 6 games if those guys were playing.

It doesn't "fix" the running game, but it helps. Defense would have to play more straight up to account for both Hunter and Rogers. The coaches said that in the gameplan for Florida, Hunter was the hot read for every blitz package that Florida had. That's a major piece of your offense to lose. Also, I never said the WOULD be undefeated, I said they COULD be undefeated. Florida won by 10 and UGA won by 8. It's not like we got totally curb-stomped.

Ditto. SC will collapse as always. Last year they were lucky every East team was terrible.

Florida is still by far the best team in the east, and I'm not even sure they could finish in the top half of the west.

Who needs a run game when you can sling the ball around to Hunter, Rogers, Arnett, Rivera, Dallas, etc.

CMR is the man that I want representing our football program.

I know what we get with him, but I also know what we will not get with him.

Fans only look at W's and L's, and I can understand that, but the wrong HC can also destroy a football program. Like I said, I know what we get with CMR and I hope he stays for a long time. Our players/recruits love him and bust their tails for him, they know his job is on the line and they are playing for him. Many teams could have given up after the 0-2 start but our boys stuck together and have played well lately.

UGA wins the East if UF loses to Auburn tomorrow. USCe has Connor Shaw at QB, and despite how good he's looked, he is still inexperienced.

We have to go to Arkansas, too. SC needs help at this point. Losing to Auburn will prove to be our undoing.
