1. Does the ones that get bumped just miraculously become great with that 4th star

2. Will you moaners finally stop?

We will only get one more at the most, I believe that will be Randolph and that he will move into the top 250.

Good questions. I think (whether or not we want to admit it) something about the 4th star makes us more excited about a player coming in. Suddenly, he seems more legit. If for nothing else, it makes us confident in our coaching staff's ability to evaluate talent.

As for the second question, the moaners will never stop.

Don't think Smith gets his bump? Florida's Rival analyst evaluated him recently and gave him an A-. Also just picked up an offer from Florida.

There's a chance it could happen. But he is currently rated a 5.6. It's tough to go from a 5.6 to a 5.8, which would be a 4 star. Coleman went from 5.7 up to 5.8.

Got to also factor in that Florida didn't have a recruiting analyst then either. So it will be interesting.

This and it gives the staff more visibility and recognition that will help with future recruiting.

I just really don't see how Smith doesn't become a 4*. The kid has done camps the last 3 years and even Barry Every has taken the time to do a Rivals Vid on him at the camp 2 years ago with Brown, Seastrunk, etc. and straight up said that they couldn't believe he was just a sophmore, etc. On top of that he has had nothing but great production every year at APK in a talent rich region in FL. After this year and the FL Rivals Analyst seeing with his own two eyes and giving him a A- on the performance, I just don't see how he doesn't get bumped to a 4*.

When one of our recruits picks up the extra star it doesnt make him better in my eyes, what it does do is make me laugh at the haters on here that have said Dooley is a horrible recruiter & the staff cant evaluate talent. If Coleman can get the bump then Smith, Randolph, Williams, & Kerbyson all deserve it. & if that happens we would have 8 4*s commited & that would put us close to a top 15 class as of right now.

Someone asked Chris Nee yesterday in a Rivals chat if Smith got the bump to a 4* & Nee said no, he said Smith did get moved up but didnt earn an extra star. He said the only real knock on Smith is that he doesnt have breakaway speed.

So dumb.... what about the guys with breakaway speed that don't have the vision, power, and strength of Smith. A great RB doesn't have to have "breakaway speed."

I've said it all along but Dooley and Co. are some of the best evaluators I've seen. This is going to be a very important/solid foundation class.

I'll agree that based on the "eyeball test" he doesn't appear to have breakaway speed...yet amazingly enough when you watch his video he consistently outruns anyone that's trying to catch him...and some of those guys are 4* DB's...

I love the video where he makes a current Rivals 4* (Therezie) look ridiculous

Thunder, since you have the formula for Rivals could you do me a favor? Plug in Couch, Arnett, & Clear & bump Smith, Randolph, Kerbyson, & Jordan Williams to a 4* if you dont mind & tell me where that would put us in the rankings. :hi:
