So is Joe Lunardi not respecting the SEC with his seed predictions?

I think so based on everything I’ve seen/heard. 6 - 8 quadrant 1 wins
Yeah, Arkansas, Kansas, Colorado, Florida twice, at Mizzou, even one of those teams we clocked 100 on, made the Tourney. All loses to Tournament teams, but UK and probably bubble team Ole Miss, great resume. A win today and we would have been a 4, imo

Big Ten, Big 12 & ACC get more respect and deservedly so. That’s what everyone is bitching about.

Since the expansion to 68 teams in 2011, the SEC is tied with the Big Ten for number of teams in the Final Four. The SEC has the best rate of teams to reach the Elite Eight and Final Four.

The Big Ten hasn’t won a championship in 20 years, and Kansas is the only champion from the Big 12 (2008) since the conference began 23 years ago. Take Kansas out, and the Big 12 is not very good in the NCAAT. I think the ACC leads by sheer numbers in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight, but they have also led with more 1/2 seeds. The Big East leads in titles.

It’s not difficult to research it, and contrary to the posts above, the SEC has done fine.

I said Kentucky & Florida have carried the water for the SEC in Final Four appearances in the last 20 yrs. I’ll stand by that. Auburn has 1. Sc another. LSU 1. I’m pretty sure that’s it. 2of those aren’t even in the tournament this year. Ky & Fla get respect for seeding but the rest of us have to earn it.

Yea, but you can say the same about Kansas in the Big 12 and UNC and Duke in the ACC. The Big Ten has a little more depth but hasn’t won a title in 20 years. Not any different than other conferences.

This is your yearly reminder that Lunardi is not that good at his job

Yep wrote a book, from North East, ESPN decided they would promo him as a Guru and drive by sports fans have bought in and sit on edge of their seat waiting on his every word. Truthfully he is in the lower half of sports analyst in predictions.
BUT he is endorsed by ESPN so we must listen, it's what we do.

Last time I looked (been awhile so maybe he adjusted it) but he had LSU way to low. That team will get a bad seed and bust a few brackets

ACC has Virginia who won the last NC, I guess you forgot. Maybe you should Google that? Syracuse a traditional power equivalent to Florida minus a 1 NC. Comparing the ACC and SEC in NCAA performance is a complete joke.

Funny position that South Carolina is in. Frank Martin had that great FF run but they haven't done jack since then. You almost wonder if they should switch coaches.

I don't see how Mike Green has a job. Weird some of the coaches that get fired (Kennedy at Texas A&M and Avery Johnson at Alabama had me scratching my head when both teams fired their coaches. Worked for Alabama but not A&M). However, Mike Green has slowly ran Florida into the ground. They are not a FF contender anymore under him.

I still don't see how Florida got a 7 seed and Missouri an 8. Missouri > Florida when it comes to resume. Missouri beat a #1 seed.

Lunardi predicts based on, among other things, the committee's past habits. His lists are never what he thinks should be, they are what he thinks WILL be. That's the whole answer to "why does Lunardi ...?"

Not sure about this Green character, but Mike WHITE lost the preseason player of the year and still had a decent season.
