I was just thinking while listening to Sportstalk this morning: the SEC is not only pretty good this year, but JUST WAIT until next year: with Florida and LSU both being young (and IF they can avert leakage into the NBA), Kentucky with the talented Sophomores, Tennessee with Pearl and the new recruits. . . .
ACC was definitely down with all the NBA defections, but it will be only the fourth time in the last 20 years no ACC team has been in the FF and only the fifth time that neither UNC or Duke has not been there. Pretty impressive stat.
I don't think the SEC was down, just very young. Look at the 2 final 4 reps. This could easily be the best conference in the nation in a year or two if there aren't too many NBA defections. Just look at us, UF, LSU, and Bama.
I cant wait to hear the sports radio personalities around here who've been hollerin all year long how the SEC is weak...and this was a down year and now 2 teams are in the final 4, who could end up being an all SEC champ game.
thats more like an omen of death. these so called expert everyone of them had either connecticut or villanova as the champion. i cant believe these guys get paid to do this, they are literally worse then the average fan.
