we would match Alabama's intensity today and that my concerns about today's game over our lack of intensity in the 2nd half against Miss St. was stupid. So, tell me everyone, I honestly didn't get to see the game, did we at least give our best effort and play with intensity? Judging by the comments, it doesn't sound like we did, and I'd hate to think with the NCAA in the balance we wouldn't fight with all we were worth.

Yes we did. Anybody that thinks "effort" is a problem in the SEC tourney needs to rethink about posting about basketball.

Alabama out executed UT. It's that's simple. They were the better team today. It happens.

In my opinion,we seemed fairly focused. Just seemed we couldn't hit shots. The 4th foul on McRae was garbage, but I hate excuses. They just controlled the tempo. It's a bummer. I hate Bama.

The "out hustled" and "out coached" terms are so overused. Just like "giving up."

We simply did not make shots. 48 points...enough said.

Gave 110%, the extra 10% was because they heard about your post and CCM taped it up in the locker room to help motivate.

Tennessee plays good at home and decent on road but don't understand why they are such an underachiever in SEC tournament? Do they choke or don't play with same intensity they play during regular season? I don't know why but after several years I don't get too confident in vols in SEC tournament .

bama- quicker and with better players. Coach Martin has done well with this team this year. But unless we do a better job of evaluating talent, we will never be better than a bubble team.

Here is our problem:

Stokes- not a good defender- slow and can not jump. He must lose about 15 lbs for quickness and jumping ability. He must improve his shooting. He has lots of potential but do not believe he will ever be an NBA player.

Golden- slow- not a good defender- has too many turnovers

Mcbee- Slow- not a good defender- spotty shooter. When McBee is in the game, teams target him when
he is on defense because he is so slow.

McRae- great shooter, not a good defender-has too many turnovers- lots of potential- not ready for the NBA.

Richardson -good defender, good short game on offense but need to develop 3 point shooting. lots of potential

Moore- Good defender, Good leaper, Weak Offensively- lots of potential

Reese- was never a star in high school- do not expect him to do a lot for us.

Chievous- Great hustle - limited talent -must get stronger to play the 4 because he is not quick enough to play a guard spot. Will never be a starter.

Overall- we do not have quickness in our guards and our big men are wide and not that tall and can not jump well, so teams take it to the basket on us with ease.

That would be me. I'd say "here for my crow" but I wasn't wrong.

We played with every bit as much effort and intensity as Alabama did. They were just better than we were. Contrary to the belief of many on this board, Bama also wanted to win that game, and frankly they were just better today.

Intensity and effort were equal, as I promised they would be. Those *****ing about lack of effort are the people who see us fail and automatically equate that to lack of heart/effort/intensity.

They are all wrong.

does a team that lost to Ga twice and Bama twice deserve a NCAA bid? I dont know.

1. Bama isn't a bad loss.

2. Other bubble teams have more (and worse) bad losses.

3. You can't ignore the good wins.

4. It's astonishing how many people use this inherently flawed argument.

You shouldn't be surprised that those who argued with you yesterday , will not admit you are right.
