All you have to do is get a cry baby player to pitch a fit about unfair or mean treatment.

Wow we could have got rid of Fulmer years ago!!!

I would be fine if Fulmer was still here myself, but that's another issue.

As far as TTU & Leach, I am waiting until the final word to make a judgment for myself.

I hope Leach is vindicated.

What Leach done deserved his firing, no one should be forced to go into a electrical closet for hours. There are plenty of climate controlled rooms with a bed to lay down on and rest from migrane symptoms after suffering a concussion. I suffer from migranes and it is no laughing matter.

This is going to be interesting....appears to me, at this stage, that Leach has a good shot at ultimately being vindicated ($$$$$$$$).

I understand that there is a lot more going on here than is being reported. Said player was a slacker who only received a scholarship because of pressure from his "celebrity" father. Said player was also a petulant little snot who was continually late for practices and team meetings and thought he was better than everyone else. Once the diagnosis of a mild concussion was established, he showed up on the side-lines with designer sunglasses and earphones and was joking around on with other players. The coach told him to remove the earphones and sunglasses. Player refused because the sun was hurting his eyes. Coach said "oh yeah? well I've got someplace where you can go that will take care of that".

Sounds like the little brat got showed up and he went running to daddy!

That is what happens when you believe only one side of the story. The video posted in here shows the "electrical closet" that he was in. If anything they were helping him out by keeping him out of the sunlight, which can make a concussion even worse.

If Mike Leach had been Florida's coach, just think how long he would have kept a crying Tebow locked in the closet.

I think Leach is a weirdo, and it's still weird to me to ask a consussion sufferer to go sit in a shed/garage/whatever.

But it's looking more and more like TT just used this as an excuse to fire Leach. At worst it seems like if the administration didn't like it, then just say "Don't do that anymore" and that's it.

Don't leave out the part about having a coach willing to walk into that land mine by ignoring those who employ him and continuing the treatment. The kid was wrong, the father took it too far and Leach was just as responsible for his firing as anyone else.

Of course there is more to it, TT AD hated Mike Leach and the school was due to pay him $800K if he was still head coach on Dec 30. This whole thing will backfire on TT and they are gonna have to pay Leach alot more than $800K when all is said and done!!

From the reports I've heard they did warn him and Leach just ignored it.

They knew that before they terminated him, they were unhappy with him, knew he was going to bounce anyway and decided paying extra money would be worth it. You think they never thought about having to pay the 800k and probably much more? Sure they did. It is a price they were obviously willing to pay.

After reading the e-mails posted by those inside the program I can't help but think how they all seem to be missing the picture here. James could have been booted off the team at any point, if he was this much of a problem and this much of a distraction then why wasn't he? He obviously should have been if all this was true. It looks like he was put in the situation that he was as some form of punishment that was never even necessary to begin with, he should have been asked to leave the team, if anything it looks even worse for Leach IMO.

The kid sounds like a brat for sure, I am not defending his actions, just stating that those who like to think Leach wasn't an idiot for stepping in this mess to begin with are missing the boat.

If Peyton had a kid come to UT and was a bench warmer and a distraction...do you think it would be that easy to just kick him off the team?

Know what I honestly think? I think the player is a big pu$$y douche who dogged it in practice and cried to mommy and daddy when things didn't go his way. If the guy was a real football player he would've grew a pair, did what the coached asked him to do, and tried to get better. Instead he went boo hooing to mommy and daddy and got his coach fired. I say take the football away from this kid and get him an effin' apron!

What's next? Army recruits crying to their Mommy's that army life is too tough and trying to get their drill sergeant dishonorably discharged for being too rough on him??

If people ONLY knew some of the things my coaches did when I played sports!

it turned out to be room used for Media interviews, not an electrical closet

James and Manning are very different as far as legend goes. Even then you would have to use a player from say Vandy, Memphis, or TSU for the comparison to be equal. I would imagine it would be as easy or difficult as the head coach makes it.
