As I understand it, Austin and the university are in the woke crowd. That is information to I learned from some in Dallas in 2012.

Evidently, like vanderbilt is more woke than UT, the longhorns are more woke than the Aggies.

I just returned from a western vacation. The Black Hills are beautiful. Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull had motivation fighting Custer, for sure. It wasn’t Rocky Top, but I did enjoy the area.

We spent a couple days in Denver. I believe people are underestimating Deion’s ability to recruit kids to the mile high country. Denver is Atlanta of the Mountain States. He won’t pull too many SEC kids that way but California schools, Oregon, Texas, A&M, Oklahoma will lose out on a few each year. I have not seen so much growth in an area before. It’s all new and shiny. From Fort Collins to south of Denver on I-25 is nonstop development. Weird, wacky backer smoking people that are rude, but lots of money pouring into area. It will be interesting to see how he does. The area is not a barren frozen tundra. Time will tell.

It’s crazy the level of development along the front range. You are right, it’s almost unbroken from Denver to FoCo. Always struck me as strange because once you leave Knoxville in any direction, you’re in the wilderness, and I expected Colorado to be the same but moreso (which it largely is to the south and west and definitely to the east).

Good Lord that is one of the dumbest things I have heard in a long time. We are raising a nation of pussies.

article says they are treating it like other school specific taunts (counter gator chomp). you do it in celebration with your team or on the sidelines, you are fine. you do horns down standing on top of a TU player you just leveled, or go over to their sidelines by yourself and flash horns down, and you are going to get flagged.

Yes we are! And I can't believe how stupid it is that the Gators can't do the Gator Chomp at their home field anymore. Traditions going away because someone gets their precious feelings hurt. It's just unbelievable the direction we are going. I hate the Gators, but the Gator Chomp is still a tradition and shouldn't have been removed.

The recognizable "Gator Bait" chant and correlating Gator chomp arm motion will no longer be heard and seen at University of Florida sporting events. The discontinuation of the cheer is part of what the school is calling The Decade Ahead plan to address racism and inequality amid a global movement.Jun 19, 2020
