Forgive me but I'm not up to par on my recruiting knowledge but is it a good or bad thing if we oversign?

its neither good or bad.. its really kind of neutral..

gives you a leg up the next year IF she decide to recruit them again because of a realtionship with them that is established. But you will have other schools trying to recruit them also

I hate the Houston Nutt signing limit rule. It really screws over programs like us that are trying to get back to full strength. If we have 85 scholarships to give any given year, it should be up to us on how we delegate those. Capping a limit on a signing class is socialist.

the limit on how many you can sign does nothing to help our 85 number. you can only get in 25 per year anyway and it has nothing to do with signing 30 or 40. if we signed 40, still could only admit 25

I agree...you should not be limited unless you are in danger of going over 85 scholarships. I also believe teams should be able to carry 100 scholly players because 4 x 25 = 100. Why 85? thats an odd number when you can sign 25 per year.

When we could have 105 on scholarship, Alabama would sign runningbacks and park them on the bench to keep other SEC schools from getting them.
