1. We have to win out.
2. Georgia has to beat Florida, Mizzou has to beat Georgia
3. Mizz (or another SEC team) also has to beat Florida.
Is this correct? Thats all I can come up with.
How many penalties were called on Bama last season in Neyland?Forget the East and focus on one game at a time. It's very unlikely we win the East.
One thing is for sure a team cannot overcome the type of penalty discrepancy we saw tonight. I would be embarrassed if the Vols ever got that type of homecoming. It ruins the game.
We had several penalties against us last year. I was there. Tuscaloosa protects their team. But you have to be able to over one it. Let me know when we have a sec game against a quality opponent even at home and only have 1 penalty for 5. And their O-Line and corners held big time at least 3-4 times that was obvious. We had 2 ticky tack holds go against us that I know of. I just wish the refs would give us our hone field advantage. GBOThe bigger question is how many were called on us last year in Neyland.
It sure wasn't ONE penalty for FIVE yards.
Well don’t comment then. We may not but we are capable. GBODue respect to the OP but I can't afford to waste the bandwidth to worry about the Vols winning the East at this point.
This team isn't beating GA and better be on top of their game against everyone else.
They aren't good enough to just show up and win against anyone on the schedule other than maybe Vandy and U Conn.
Missouri and KY will be absolute struggles.
We got to take one game at a time. Our sole focus needs to be going to Kentucky and getting the big WIN! GBOIf we can find a way to win out:
--> UGa has to lose to Florida, Mizzou, or Ole Miss
--> FL has to lose to two more of: UGa, Arky, LSU, and Mizzou
So still a number of combinations (some less likely than others) that could get us to Atlanta. But us beating UGa is perhaps the longest pole in the tent.
Let's talk again after we've beaten UGa (and everyone prior to them).
But I love the never-say-die attitude!
Go Vols!
