5 n 7 n this staff is avg at best both kiff n dools went to bowl games their first year.. so we hire a coach that gets a free pass n isnt required to get to a bowl his first year.. n dont say he has less talent than dools did his first year or kiffs walk ons.. so the talent is there to/win 6 games..

i know the sunshine sheep wont agree..lol

You said last year that the Vols would never win again in the SEC like they did in the 90's. Does your stance change after seeing how Jones recruits? At the time I agreed with you, but have since changed that line of thinking. Just wondering if you have as well.

4-8 5-7 no real difference your sitting at home for the holidays again kind of gotten used to it so a bowl game would be a pleasant surprise. No back lash for cbj now if we go 4-8 5-7 next year then thats going to raise some eye brows going into year 3

What if we beat Vandy & Kentucky then get in a bowl game. We somehow get to play Baylor in the bowl game and win the game. Before you say, that won't happen, remember when we had 7 wins and ended up playing #10 Virginia Tech in the bowl game in Atlanta.....

What would happen to recruiting if we were to beat Baylor in a major bowl game?????

What would you think of bUTch then?

What you think the program would be headed in the right direction???

On the bright side, I speculate that this will be the first time in a long time our staff remains intact. I will leave it to you fellas to determine if thats a good thing or not.

Ah, interesting twist. I doubt we see any turnover in the staff either. I think Jones will have to make some changes at some point in his first 3 years tho.

UT showed marked improvement thru the middle of the season. They need to finish the season the way they are capable of doing it. That's 2 wins.

I agree and if the situation plays out to where Hart suggests staffing changes (down the road, of course). It will be interesting to see how Butch reacts.
