So where is Mizzou bad? And where are they good?

I don't get the Mizzou love either! I think too much is being made by their ability to stick with a Georgia team that all of college football is trying to prop up. But statistically speaking, Mizzou is a poor man's version of our team.
They played a hyped game vs UGA and didn't get blown out. I'm not sure there's anything else impressive about their performance otherwise this year.

Our secondary had improved…and then it took a huge step back with the loss of Hadden. Going to be next season before we potentially get back to where we were the first half of this year. Still ahead of last year’s though, and certainly 2021’s.
Step back? Yes. "Huge"? No. They had "those games" before Hadden went out. It goes back to Banks' game plan and playcalling more than anything. When the game plan and playcalling give cushion to "keep everything in front" then the DBs look like clowns. All of them Hadden included. When they try to knock guys off their routes and play tighter, they look better but there are big play risks that go with it.

PS- I was a Hadden defender when people were taking shots. I don't think he was ever as bad as many claimed. He just took more risks and generally played more aggressive. There are costs to doing that.

I think they’re solid everywhere. Cook is good most of the time, can hurt you through the air or with his feet; our defense will make him look like a first round pick unfortunately. Schrader is a solid running back. Burden is a great WR but I don’t see him being 100 percent. They’ve got a good run defense also at least on paper; I don’t think it’s as good as Bama or A&M and we did really well on the ground versus them.

Overall if we execute to our ability I don’t think they have the athletes to keep up for a whole game. I think overall Tennessee is also healthier than them at all positions; we’re coming off a “scrimmage” and they’re coming off a game vs Georgia.

They are a solid team and this will be a tough game, but, I think that their stats are a little padded. They've played a lot of cupcakes.
that's what I'm thinking (hoping) but they held their own pretty well against Georgia in the 1st half.... then again, that's typical Georgia... begin playing in the 2nd half

The difference in this game is UT is still playing for the SEC championship, and Mizzou is coming off a back breaking loss to no.1 UGA. Remember a few years ago when we caught UK in the exact same situation.

Just looking over team rankings in individual categories and it's hard to get a bead on them.

#24 ranked rushing defense is really good, it's actually higher than Bama's. They have the #64 ranked passing defense which is pretty bad, but I've heard their secondary is supposed to be really good.

They seem to give up around 21-27 points in every game, except they gave up 49 (yikes) to LSU.

I thought they had a really good RB too, along with Cook being able to run, but they are ranked #76 in rushing offense.

So I'm confused. Aside from throwing, where are they a really good team, and what should we be worried about?
Nothing

Special teams. Watch out for fake punts. Pass defense is not that good. Missouri does have a good QB. Vols will win. But Vols have to do better in the red zone. TDs not FGs.

Mevis is an NFL kicker and Cook throws the ball all over the yard.

I don't think we have anyone in our secondary that can cover Burden. He may lead the SEC is catches or yards, not sure. Pressure on their QB will be very important in this one. Hope Banks has some blitz surprises up his sleeve.
they will try to neutralize our pass rush with quick throws and screens like the other teams
