everyone kept suggesting that we were going to get a huge surprise commit today but it didnt happen... none of the players that didn sign with us were real surprises but we just didn get a commit that we didn expect... not saying that it still cant happen with sum big recruits still not having made there announcements yet.. just wondering if you guys think we might get another commit or two or is this truely all we get this year???

Well, James Stone is a pretty big fella.

J.C. Copeland, too.

we finished with a top 10 class with no coach 2 weeks ago, and no D chord still. To me thats a surprise!

Da'Rick was a huge surprise... it just got out early.

And this isn't the Kiffin show anymore. Surprises aren't likely. Dooley is methodical and calculated.

The whole Ambles show was driven by Kiffin. You won't see that crap from DD.

Stone was expected IMO and we were behind on Copeland thanks to the former coach. Rogers could be a small surprise too

And that is the surprise for me, especially since I thought he just reaffirmed his commitment to us earlier this week. Oh well, I guess that's just pay back for the JJ situation last year.

I was also surprised considering he just said he wasn't going to LSU. Who knows. I'll take JJ for Copeland any day. Not saying he doesn't have potential and at a need position but JJ is for real.

If any LSU employee is involved in any type of action like what happened in the JJ situation last year, please let me know so I can call the Dean's office and complain.

To me what is going on with this recruiting stuff has to be changed it reminds of that stupid XFL.

Small surprise??? We weren't in it in December. Nance either. He had been commited to UGA for over a year. That's a surprise.

I don't consider a 2* qb to be a big surprise (well, not the way this thread meant) and Rogers wasn't really a signing day shocker. Cat was out of the bag for a while (but not a bad thing at all)

this guy amongst others were saying it....

don't believe everything you read. Some people really like to make crap up

There's never "supposed to be" a surprise. That's why it's a surprise.

Some of you struggle mightily with this concept.

Sorry for relaying what I read. I really appreciate all the information you provide and what you do, but sometimes you can really be an arrogant turd.

People were talking about a "Big Surprise" about 10 days to 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago Da'Rick Rogers would have been a HUGE surprise IMO. Stone was not considered a lock at all. I think both of these were nice surprises. Losing Copeland does hurt alot...as we need DL help. Calvin Smith when they asked him who his schools were...and he said FSU, Tennessee, and New Mexico....I thought....this has to be UT. Then he picked NM. I would look for the staff, to name the DC and DL coaches pretty quick, and start recruiting DL for 2011. I would think we need to land about 5-6 Big time guys. Go Vols!!

Unlike Kiffin, Dooley's not a guy looking for a lot of flash! When he got a commit, it was immediately made public! In last two weeks we have seen a flurry of commits so don't be disappointed if you don't get a commit out-of-no-where today! Be happy with what we got, Dooley certainly did a bang-up job!

Rogers is a huge suprise.....

As of yesterday morning, he was ALL UGA. It got out later that he was leaning UT.

He is the BEST WR in this class. He is big, fast, and can run routes correctly. He will be a huge impact....if someone can get him the ball. He is the best WR UT has had...talent wise....since W. Gault or C. Pickens. He is better than Ambles!!! Much better!!!
