Well since you brought it up, I cannot help but point out that it sounds like you are the one that struggles with this concept. In addition to something that occurs without warning, a suprise is defined as the state of being astonished - which refers to a sense of amazement. Certainly, the signing of a big name recruit which we didn't expect could be cause for amazement, don't you agree?

No, it appears you are struggling. If it were expected, how could it be a surprise? You, yourself point out that it is "without warning." So how would you possibly "expect" a "surprise"?

It doesn't make any sense. It's like saying "Tell me what I'm getting for my birthday." And then after you get your answer saying "Ok, surprise me."

Reading comprehension isn't your friend is it? I said, "in addition to something that occurs without warning." If you need help getting past that . . . . well, I don't know how to help.

You know what, you are right. I was a little frustrated because it seems like you call posters out quite often with a holier-than-thou attitude. You post a lot of good info on thiis site and there is no need for me to fight someone else's battle. Good day.

As an aside, if you can't follow the links I provided to see how the potential "surprise" of a signee could fall under the Webster's definition of the word - although obviously not your own definition - then oh well. I agree to disagree.

oh yea i agree completely dooley and staff have done a great job i was just wondering where the guys that were promising a mind blowing surprise had gone to.. one guy said it was a lock to get a name that none of us would see coming via his source that was around the team dailey yet it didn come to pass im not dissapointed in the class at all its a great class but i was just gona let those guys know that their sources werent that great....
