So who’s going to be coaching at USC next year?

Is it still considered one of the premiere positions in college football?

I dunno man/woman. From a Tennessee perspective, all they have to compete with is Oregon, and a (possibly) upcoming UCLA team. Besides that, they own the west coast. And again, from a TN perspective, the west coast produces plenty of great players, so they should be better than they are. So, in my humble opinion- yes, USC is still a premier job.

As bad as our game turned out yesterday, at least we aren’t Texas & USC right now. Those two programs really have no excuse to be as down as they have for so long. They both have built-in recruiting advantages that we just don’t have.
And, the expectations for UT is not nearly as high for USC and Texas.

If it is it won’t be for long. College football is changing and right now the SEC is the only conference positioned to be able to survive it.

At SC money is not a problem nor an object. They had a pr problem with their Athletic Department and the pay for entrance scandal using the rowing and track teams. It's the only reason they kept Helton around, just didn't want to break more china than was necessary at the time. They fired Lynn Swann as AD and they've cleaned all that up. Next on the agenda? Helton gets fired this year and their sparkly clean AD puts in who they want for football coach or goes out the door with Helton.
