I was flipping through the channels last night and watched a little of the michigan state and ohio state championship game on the big 10 network last night, and I saw a commercial for Minnesota Football, and it said Minnesota Football Brick By Brick. I would like to believe they stole this motto.

The phrase actually originated with the Winnie the Pooh series and the character Eeyore, except the original phrase was "stick by stick".

What about year 0? According to that motto last year was -1 so technically this is year 0.
