So who do you hire?

N.C State about to send Kentucky home... doing this down 4 starters this year due to knee injuries. TN under Holly wouldn't stay within 30 points of Kentucky if they had suffered the same amount of injuries.

Kentucky did well this season considering they had no size or bulk inside. If Harrison was able to play this year, they would have been a much, much better team. Mitchell did a great job with what he had.

Kentucky just did not have the size this year i agree but the program is back

Wes Moore just defeated Kentucky handedly. 72-57

And KJH’s team is up 3 at the half. This is intriguing because I see either of these teams beating BYU or Stanford which would lead them to the final 4...if she reaches the elite 8 or the final 4 does she become top candidate? I love the scrappiness of her team. They have no fear at allllllllllllllll and she’s smart and intense. She really is giving me deep Pat vibes/energy. Deep.

I know! I love Kellie and so loved that LV era! In spite of my rational brain saying we probably need a break from the Pat Tree it would also be a mistake to eliminate someone like KJH just because she's a former LV. She's most definitely worth a look. As is Wes Moore. There are options out there!

Right. There are options that would make sense and would make the move.

Not to be ageist but the hype for me with KJH is she’s young and has a team already with her husband as assistant coach and I would hope she could lure Jackie stiles to come with her as well and find a great post coach(bye Dean) I think it’d be a home run hire. Along with what I’m seeing from her as a coach..her team takes on her attitude and you can tell. She’s a leader and who the reigns should’ve been given to previously but maybe she needed to go through her growing pains as a coach as well. Timing is everything.

Wes Moore would be a homerun here.

Tina Langley

Felicia Legette-Jack

If we look at how much Tennessee is going to be willing to pay we must think logically. It will be a top coach at a mid major or a truly great coach in a P5 conference who is at a school that isn’t getting the top recruits.

I really like that her husband is on her coaching stuff. It reminds me of the Weekly's.

MSU has already given Kellie a raise and contract extension for reaching the NCAA tournament. She, also, gets a retention bonus of $100,000 if she is still MSU coach on April 14th.

Kellie Harper gets new contract in wake of NCAA Tournament trip

EDIT-Sorry, This is an old article. I was reading the dates of the contract terms, and I thought it was this year.

I do not understand why all of the talking heads on this forum are so quick to say Vic Schaefer would never leave his established program at Miss. St. for the Lady Vols. He is currently in his first Head Coaching position and has only been there the same amount of time that Holly has been the HC here. I doubt that he ever looked at Miss. St. as his dream job. Texas A&M is his alma mater and it doesn't appear ready to make any changes with Blair there. Schaefer appears to me to be a high character individual that can recruit and coach the game, quite well. I just don't believe that he is so rooted there to not pass up the opportunity here at UT if it were offered to him. I do think that he would look at the Lady Vols as a dream job. Give the man a call.

I think what Vic has done at State is amazing! Kudos to him. He lost some greats last Year. With the season he has had and the way they’re teams playing, they will most likely be on their way to another final four.

Thanks frankie and you like everyone can have an opinion but glad you don't have the last word. If evina is here a new coach will be too. Hell we been in a rebuilding mode for the last 8 or so!!!

Lolz seriously. They need someone to latch onto because clearly people are to blind to see what’s happening before their eyes, that it’s the coach. Or lack there of that’s the problem.

Success at Purdue; bombed big time at Florida; been out the coaching game too long and the game has changed so much from her years of success.
I agree with your comments about Peck, madtownvol. Her success at Purdue was due mainly by having two first string AAs in her starting lineup.

She had a solid TEAM. Not just the two AA’s.
Ukair Figgs was solid at the point and Camille Cooper was solid in the paint.
