So,who is your pick for 2013 National Champions?

I don't think Georgia will ever win a title under Richt. It's just not meant to be. I told people this even when they were giving Bama all they could handle, and we see how that worked out.

I think Louisville actually has the easiest road of any "legitimate" contender. Louisville will probably be favored by at least 7 points in every matchup, and they don't have games against teams like Michigan, Northwestern and Wisconsin... plus, don't have a conference title game. If Louisville starts out Top 10, it'd be hard to keep them out of the BCS title game unless two teams ranked above them to start the season are also undefeated (which, of course, is entirely possible).

I think Stanford wins it all, though.

If UofL goes 12-0, they should still not get in. Their conference is a BCS league by contract and not by worth, and their non-conference schedule is Ohio/EKU/@UK/FIU. So, the Cards did absolutely nothing out of conference to beef up the weak slate. A 10-3 SEC Champion should get in over 12-0 UofL. I watched the Sugar Bowl, but that should have no bearing on next year's NC game. You have to earn it on the field, and the Cards have no opportunities to do that.

That said, after they begin playing in the ACC, they'll be NC-eligible again, IMO.

I understand what you're saying, but this is still a BCS conference team. I'm sure that, at some point, Louisville will end up playing a ranked team... and destroy them.

If there are three undefeated teams at the end of the season, two of which from superior conferences, have Louisville on the outside looking in. That makes perfect sense. I can even see the argument for a one-loss SEC or Pac 12 team jumping the Cardinals, though I don't agree with it. 3 losses, though? A 3-loss SEC team doesn't deserve a national title bid.

If UofL plays a ranked team, it will be an AAC team like Cincinnati or USF who cracks the Top 25 by going on a winning streak against low competition, and that is if UofL faces any ranked teams at all.

You're losing credibility for being anything but a homer if you honestly think a 12-0 team with UofL's 2013 schedule is more deserving than ANY 12-1 SEC team. The schedules aren't even close enough to compare. Congrats on the Sugar Bowl win, but beating 2-3 mediocre teams and 9-10 really bad teams is not NC-worthy, even if you blow everyone out.

A 3-loss SEC team won't make it either, but they'll have more good wins than UofL.

They win a major bowl game, and now they're Boise State east.

And, even the Broncos would never get in over a 1-loss SEC team.

I don't know if you're trying to be smart or "smart," but that was just an honest question of mine; no harm intended. I hate Georgia too. Alabama has enjoyed far more success though than Georgia has ever thought about, and certainly you all have the upper hand in titles on them. If I were Florida, I wouldn't hardly even give Georgia any consideration, unless I lived on the border. Maybe you do.

Yea, don't even worry about the Dawgs......ever!

I see your point, but "good wins" doesn't matter all that much here.

Louisville will start with a high enough ranking that, provided they go undefeated and two teams from superior conferences are not undefeated at the end of the season, they will end up #1 or #2 in the BCS standings.

If the 2010 Boise State squad had a kicker who could make a field goal and Auburn doesn't complete the epic comeback against Alabama, you have Boise State playing for it all because of where they began the season ranked.

Nope, I want to see UGA win a national championship about as much as you want to see Florida win a national championship.

That's all.

I've pulled for UF in every NC and bowl game that they've ever played in. I always root for my conference when an SEC team plays an out-of-SEC team. Always will.

I hope it's not anyone from the SEC (except UT) like to see someone that's never won it before
