Thanks for strengthening my point, UGA has possession time advantage because Mizzou D does not stop them. After their front 4, they suck.
They also threw 4 picks and fumbled in the first 3 quarters.
That's more of the point I was going for there, along with the quick 3 and outs.
Missouri's possession time by QTR:
4 drives for 5 min in the first (3 and out, INT on the 3rd play, INT on the 2nd play, 5 plays and out).
4 drives for about 5:30 min in the second (a 3 and out, a 3 and out, 3 plays and a fumble).
2 drives for about 4 min in the 3rd (2 plays and an INT, 7 plays and an INT)
Then UGA just started grinding out the clock after that INT and just flat out running the ball with 5 min left in the 3rd quarter.
(before that point Missouri's defense had been out there for about 25 min to their offense's about 15 min...Chubb also only had about 70 yards near the end of the 3rd; his next 74 came in their last 18 minutes of possession - their possession time in the last 5 min of the third quarter and the fourth quarter.)
(Up until then though UGA's drives had gone - 4:30 FG, 1:00, 3:30 FG, 4:42 TD, 3:30 TD, 50 seconds, 1:30 - half - 3 min, 2 min. Then they started to grind out the clock - 4:50 TD, 6:23 TD, 6:30 game ends)
2 drives for about 3 min in the 4th (3 and out, 3 and out).
Chubb's going to get all the media attention here, but UGA's defense (and Missouri's [lack] of offense) is what really led to that and got the win here.
