I would love to see some guys from the trenches. Offensive line, defensive line.

I would really like to see a QB say yes to the Vols... Blake Bell? Sims? Montana?

Who knows...I'm pretty pumped from today though! I called my friend who is a florida gator nut and he actually watched the press conference live!! haha! He said "ah who cares Florida is going to kill Tennessee anyway!!!"

He's scared.

Hopefully the floodgates will open in the next 3-4 months and we'll get some early commits. As long as I see a few guys in the 300 lb. territory to be big uglies on the o & d lines, and then of course QB, I'll be happy. If I see those kinds of positions committing, I'm going to start daydreaming about 2010 regularly.

Too funny GATechVOL!!!!! All the recruiting services said CLK was going to fall on his face and loose most all of the commits Fulmer had........Look who's laughing now. Better yet, look who's crying now! Just further proof that the new staff can recruit, and will go after the best prospects. TEE IT UP AND KICK IT OFF!!!!

I don't know, I just hope we get one soon and we may. Recruits want to jump on with Bryce here.

Just give the new strength coach a guy who is in the 250 range and I'll say we have the potential to have a collection of athletic monsters on our hands!!!

I would like a qb, but James Stone (or any # of good OT prospects that are interested) would be very exciting for me. This would only help our chances of signing a big time QB.

I hope the staff likes Zak Tait's work in spring practice. I like his attitude and his public comments about the new staff. He'd be a good ambassador for the school and with his close proximity to Knoxville he could swing by the school regularly to meet other prospects who are there on visits. If he gets an offer and chooses to commit, he could also recruit while traveling on the camp circuit.

I wonder how many 300lb + guys CLK will play. I know he's been very outspoken regarding how fat and out of shape our current OL are. I'm thinking he would prefer lineman in the 285 to 295 lb range that are quick, strong, and athletic. More importantly, ones who's tanks won't be empty in the 4th quarter.

Yes, that's true. And it is also true of CMK's defensive philosophy, too. We won't see a ton of huge mammoth guys on the defensive front. I mainly just mean from a talent perspective honestly, guys who are going to be strong and versatile, with a sound work ethic and ability to be coached at the mental level.

Because even with a philosophy of athleticism, if we miss out on a big time potential left tackle in recruiting just because he weighs 300-315 or so we will probably regret it later. And so will any stud QB prospect we sign, too.

I'm pretty sure the weight isn't what important. As long as it isn't just blubber, and the guy is able to maintain his athleticism and burst, they'll take him.

Bryce Brown's commitment is huge. It will open the door for linemen to want to come and block for him, as well as a QB who knows the passing game will be supplemented with a nice running attack. I think this momentum will continue for us!

Marcus Lattimore and Storm Johnson:)

After Oku and Brown signing this year, I just don't see it. Maybe Johnson, but I think Lattimore will end up close to the position that Brown was this year so he's going to want a school where freshman PT is not just a glimmer of a possibility, but a reality.

I agree. I think the Vols will prolly only end up with one RB this year and it will be somebody who is a low end 4 star or a high end 3 star. QBs, OL, DL, and WRs are the priority this year...
