Dont knock soaps until you watch one. They're the only shows that dont have reruns. When DVR came around, you could record them and binge watch before we even had the term 'binge watch'.
I started watching during the Luke and Laura era for GH. Carried it onto college and picked up All My Children. Keep in mind, young uns, there was no cable tv back then so you had 3-4 channels in the afternoon and they all had soaps. You either watched or didnt watch tv at all.
