Sobering facts

Keep in mind that there are probably just as many American citizens who do the same thing. Make sure the outrage is actually towards ALL who cheat you and I and not just one group.

Maybe I'm wrong but I gotta think the #'s here are a drop in the bucket compared to the illegals.

I would have to say that you are wrong. Pile that on with the taxes paid by illegals (that are not rebated) compared to the lack of taxes paid by our citizens who live off the welfare society, and the focus of anger should definitely be on our own lazy citizens.

True but I was referring to the folks working "under the table". You are spot on about the lazy citizens who make a living not making a living.

There are quite a few working under the table. Family businesses especially in construction work under the table all the time. "Contract' work even in more white collar fields are the same. It is much more prevalent than you think.

I can do nothing but applaud the employees and employers that are able to do what they do without government intervention :clapping:

What about the 40 million Americans w/o health insurance?

Pay out of pocket, if you want to be covered. When my wife first finished school, she had trouble finding a job as a kindergarten teacher in the area in a district that was on the up-and-up, so she worked her first year as a literacy aide...we weren't married at the time, so she didn't fall under my coverage, and we paid $305 a month to keep her covered...lo and behold, she had to have an appendectomy, when it was all said and done the bill was in the neighborhood of $18k. Insurance is a good thing.

Just threw out the 40 million without health insurance rant because I wanted to beat some anti-American liberal to the punch before they could say it. They've been throwing that canard for about 7-8 years.

I'm not follwing, TVA...

Seems as if liberals are more than willing to highlight the flaws in America, yet they don't seem to appreciate all of the great thing there are about this country... and why it is the greatest on the planet (for the time being).

The 40 million w/o health insurance is one of the things liberals throw out to try to make America appear to be a nation of widespread poverty...
