Clowns left out the U.S.-style of capitalism that features owners screwing employees by classifying them as "independent contractors" and not
paying them minimum wages or overtime, and I very much doubt they get any health-insurance coverage or any other benefits. Small U.S. firms don't do squat for their employees. There are many private equity firms that take over a struggling company, fire many of the workers and give those who've been let go a scandalous 2 weeks of severance pay even when they've worked for the company for 5, 10, 15, 20 years. Standard practice.
As for tip-sharing, it's been standard practice in restaurants for decades. A strip club is different--skeezy men come specifically to ogle the dancers, and so a tip-sharing system in such an establishment would not be fair to the dancers.
