Actually it was on espn3...I watched it on espn3.

I did see the replay on 3 - looking over the rest of the season schedule - I see no games vs. Kentucky or S. Carolina why would that be ?

Because teams only play 8 SEC series during the regular season. That means you miss 4 teams, we do not play Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina and LSU. Vanderbilt does not have softball.

We did play Kentucky in a non-conference game a couple of weeks ago.

Just never started one, no interest in doing so. They don't have volleyball, men's track or men's swimming either.

If I'm not mistaken they were deciding between softball and bowling, but chose bowling because they didn't have to build any new facilities.

Costs a lot less to travel and feed 10 bowlers for 15 events a year than 20 softball players for 60+ games, so I get it. Land is tight around Vandy, so they would have had a facilities issue for sure.

Yeah, but Softball is a rising sport and bowling is not. Pretty short sighted to go with bowling over softball

Parent of a current LV player.

Melissa Davin Bio - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics

So why come to UT.. no order of importance.

Quality Free Education
Competitive Program
Chance to win NC
Great Facilities
Great Tradition
Great Fan Base
Play with familiar players
Chance to play best competition
Academic Support
Most games are Televised, Streamed or Radio Broadcast-important as a parent 2500 miles away.
Probably a few more things... but my mind is mush from tax season!
Thank you from Vol fans. Please bring more insight as you feel is needed.

Tell your little girl , she is admired by the Volnation.
Thank You

I think they real reason they chose bowling is that its easier to win at. There's only about 50 teams total across the whole NCAA that have a team and half of those are in the MEAC and the SWAC.
