Maybe that will give Bender some extra confidence. Without Rodgers we need to try to keep the ball down (which we have done fairly well so far) and play great D. Hopefully infield will come around.

Tough night, but at least they battled after that disastrous first inning. Softball, like baseball is not just about hitting, it's about timely hitting. Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes your the bug.

lol we always play like garbage against Arizona. A run-rule is pretty embarrassing either way, though.

The SEC as a whole did not come prepared to play opening weekend. I feel they’ll all pull it together.

We always roll over and die against Arizona, though. We've done that even in the years where they've struggled. It's not entirely surprising but disappointing nonetheless.

Parsons hasn't been great at second thus far this season, but Hannon has no business being there. She looks totally frightened everytime something is hit her way and a lot more errors to come if she stays there.

At this point in the season we are in a dilemma at 2nd. We need to score, but our pitchers at this point are not strikeout pitchers therefore defense is critical. To play defense or hit, that is the question. A good mix would be nice.

I would have to think there is someone on that roster that can play second base effectively. I am sure it affects a freshman pitcher when her main way of getting outs is ground balls and players are fumbling them all over the place. Hopefully we get that fixed because I feel real good about Turner being an excellent pitcher for us as the season progresses. When we get Rogers back that is an effective 1-2 and 23 have others that look to be coming along as well. I want to see Milloy throw some would like to know if she is someone we could really depend on when the going gets tough in a game and we need an out.

Defense has GOT TO be strong up the middle if no where else!! I was afraid the weak link would be at short but and It may get that way but it appears that is at second. Many took Leach for granted and it shows why she was an AA! I have called for Jwill since she appeared headed to short but give her a chance at second base. Ralph and company knows what goes on at practice and I sure don't but dang!

Fyi if you have fubo tonight's game won't be available to watch until 3am from what I see so I downloaded the pac 12 app and used fubo as my service but you can use any service like direct tv and so on to be able to watch game at scheduled time which is 9pm. I'm doing the free trial of fubo which you can cancel at end of the trial and pay nothing. I need to give poster Kregman the credit since he/she posted info. about fubo and pac 12 earlier.
