shades of Gabby Sprang (who still hasn't corrected it) --- have hopes that Turner will learn, but with Rogers out, she better be a quick study ---- pitchers can get complacent facing HS batters that swing at anything, thus increasing the pitcher's strikeout numbersTurner needs to dial it in better. Too many walks (5) and Wild Pitches (3)
I mostly agree as most often the case with you 2012. If Jenna has solved the step out of the box syndrome then I like her at the top. If Parsons don't pick up the defense she wont be out there at 2nd very long. I think we have more potential hitters than we have had in a long time. Every one on the infield had a booboo but the playing field left a lot to be desired from what I heard. I really want JWill to get a chance to give it a go in there as well. I no where see Callie being called Gabbyesque as accurate. She is going to be a good one and was thrown in the fire on day one twice. We did not even see Milloy on the mound either. Pitching may be ok if AR gets back soon. JMHO as always! SSI'm fairly impressed with the team in the first two games, I think the pitching will be fine once Rogers gets well. I like to see a battler like Turner she is going to be fine if she can just improve her control a little more. I really like the offense. I JMO don't like the way the batting order is being set up. It is working so who cares what I think, but I would more like to see Holcomb and Parsons at the top of the lineup followed by Milloy, Seggern, and Shipman and the others. My thought is that both Holcomb and Parsons have excellent on base percentages and the way Milloy can hit as well as the others I could see everytime they get on to begin a game two or three runs coming across the plate early in the game. As long as what were doing now is working no need to do any different.
I like both Willingham and Hannon anytime the coaches want to give them a shot all for it. Hannon played second the last game and Willingham played some catcher. If Parson fails defensively I can see Hannon taking he job. Willingham will have a tougher time as long as Phillips is hitting those bombs, but I really like her as a player.I mostly agree as most often the case with you 2012. If Phillips hits she plays third and all is well if one really loves CS at short. Hannon is a senior and seems like she has been there 10 years but she seems to not mope and does as asked by the coaches. If she takes second its ok with me . JWill as a freshman will back up Ally and will do ok but I think eventually in her career she will be on the infield. I listened to the games but did not watch and I hate that but on that travel ball field was shoddy. One more game on it and on to ASU!I like both Willingham and Hannon anytime the coaches want to give them a shot all for it. Hannon played second the last game and Willingham played some catcher. Probably my last word before church as well and I appreciate your help with the game call last night. Looks like we will miss the early game today! Blessings!Last word before Church. Turner was rough during fall ball but she was good yesterday with decent control and the ump had a tight strikezone. She really stepped up yesterday I think there was some unfair assessments of her play yesterday. Hopefully that is just the start of great things.

I agree, people need to get off of Callie Turner's back. Based on yesterday's performance, she has improved considerably since fall ball. For the time being she is our number one pitcher. Get behind her.Last word before Church. Turner was rough during fall ball but she was good yesterday with decent control and the ump had a tight strikezone. Let's look at itJust now catching up on the posts from the game. Apparently our pitching sucks, our base running sucks, we are the worst bunting team ever assembled in softball history, everybody associated with the team is stupid and we have possibly 3 or 4 hitters who deserve to be in the line up. The rest should quit and join the knitting team. Wow, we must have had the crap beat out of us.
To my surprise the box score says we won the game 10-2 in 6 innings. What will end up being our 3rd and 4th pitchers went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. 8 different batters had a hit, for a total of 12. We struck out only 3 times. We stole 4 bases and we had 19 base runners.
I'm not sure who to believe - some constipated VolNation posters? Or the official scorer?
