its funny, but that is how it works.

if you read the whole thing you see where babyvol was getting bits and pieces then piecing things together himself then passing off as fact. thats how these things spiral out of control. yes . he has sources but he wasnt telling the truth. his excuse is he "thought" a+b=c. he wanted to fit it together because he loved the attention. people want him to be credible because they wanted to believe. they want him to still be credible so he can still tell them bedtime stories some other day.

Exactly. I said my biggest mistake was trying to tie the two ends of the story together and not realizing one end was complete fantasy lol.

All is well that ends well, and imo this search ended very well!

OK, I learned relatively late in this process that babyvol actually went to high school with my wife. From what she's told me about him, he's a genuinely good guy, who would never purposely mislead anyone. I think he and the other OGs simply let their passion and hope cloud their interpretation of the facts they were given. They made connections where there likely were none. I have no doubt that there was more contact than the AD will ever admit to, but I doubt it was ever an almost done deal. My two cents.

Jones is what he could afford. If Hart had been on the same page with boosters, and Gruden simply wasn't interested, then donations would have been provided to help him hire a suitable alternative.

Where have I read this before? You copying and pasting my posts from other sites? Weird.

I think the truth is in the middle. No Gruden was obviously never a done deal or he would be here! Also, I don't believe local press that he was never an option. A couple of respected national reporters said he was including Mortensen. I don't think Hart was ever on board with the idea of giving up power to a guy like that and while not having the backing of the majority of boosters did have the backing of the big dog Haslam.

From babyvol on tos:

One more point: Why did Cheek get 18 million dollars to Hart last week? At this point it is clear: to bypass the boosters.

Jones is what he could afford. If Hart had been on the same page with boosters, and Gruden simply wasn't interested, then donations would have been provided to help him hire a suitable alternative.

this.

I haven't forgot what happened the last time I believed the Grudes.
