Whoa! Definitely the first JJ McCleskey reference in Vol Nation history!? Now I have to figure out a way to work in a Pete Panuska or B.B. Cooper reference. :rocks:

JJ McCleskey, walk-on, went on to play for the Saints in the NFL I think?

Panuska had that great kickoff return in the Sun Bowl.

B.B. Cooper..... didn't he get caught selling drugs with Tony Robinson??

Yes that would be the same dear old B.B. Cooper. I think his apartment is where they got busted. What a sad waste of ability...I was at Legion Field the day Robinson blew his knee against Alabama. His life went straight downhill from that moment.

I may have the best moment in Tennessee football ever!!

Year: 1998 vs. Arkansas
Place: Knoxville
Time: seconds left in the game

The bonehead QB (Clint Stoerner, I think) stumbled or trips and puts the ball on the ground. Fumble!!!!.........recovery ......score..........win........undefeated.....national championship!!!!

:pepper:    :good: :cross:
:baloon:

Year: 1991 vs Notre Dame
Place: South Bend
Time: Seconds left in the first half, until the end of the game.

With Notre Dame leading 31-7, and seconds left in the first half, they are facing a forth and goal at the 15. Notre Dame chooses to try a 33 yard field goal which will almost certainly slam the door on any Tennessee comeback. Darrel Hardy crashes through to block the field goal, and Floyd Miley emerges from a pile of bodies with the ball and sets sail for an 85 yard TD return as the half expires.

The defense holds ND to a mere three points in the second half, while the Vols scored 21 of their own.

Final Score: Tennessee 35; Notre Dame 34

...and don't forget the ND kicker taking the gas pipe at the end on a 21 yard FG attempt as time expired (and John Ward completely blowing the call).

This makes me hate Kesling so much more.

:dlol:

Storm I just don't understand why you hate Kessling so much. Granted, he's nothing special, but he's not THAT bad is he?
