I remember what you are referencing, but you took what was said waaaaaaay out of context. No one is predicting even an SEC Championship this year. I'm pretty sure all the basketball people on VN would be more than satisfied with a 5th-7th place finish in the SEC and would understand if we did not achieve that.

We only have 1 player returning who saw really productive minutes last year. Anything above finishing in the bottom third of the SEC would be golden in my book.

If we've won two games out of won then we have accomplished something no one has before. I'll agree with a NC run of we can win games we haven't played.

I am just hoping for the NIT. Make the NCAA and it would be something but think that there is a possibility of making the NIT field.....Time will tell....

We kind of remind me of the Tar Heels from a few years ago. Maymon is alot like Pshyco T and Lawson and Golden are really similar. Mcrae as Danny Green and Cameron Tatum is our Ellington. Frasor and Mcbee are alike as well as Kenny Hall and Ed Davis. We definitely have National Championship Caliber talent.

That being said, I am excited about this year and the years ahead. I really hope CCM can get us back to where we were. The night we beat Memphis for the #1 ranking was maybe the best night of my life as a Vol fan (I was only 10 when we won the NC in football)

Good Point. We are facing a challenging season in basketball much like football. The fans need to roll with it and give Cuonzo and the team time. I am excited about the new direction of the program and hope not to hear Bruce's name every week.

Cuonzo sounds like he will coach effort and defense. I will take that in any sport. Go Big Orange.
