Some thoughts on the game

Pearl has held his own against Cal over the years. The road wins will be tougher...no surprise there.

FT on the road the last 2 games:
KY - 30 Tenn - 13
Vandy - 43 Tenn - 21

Tough to win with that type of disparity. Wasn't like we were fouling at the end to catch up either.

My favorite quote of the night was at halftime with Coach Calapari....They caught us offguard with that 3-2 zone, we weren't prepared for it....
What a coach.....:lolabove:

6. Why even put Williams in? During the 10 seconds he was in, all he managed to do was get completely owned by Cousins on a move that really wasn't that impressive.

I disagree. That move was unbelievably impressive. a 6'11" man gets the ball 15 feet from the basket, spins to his off hand, puts it on the floor, and dunks before his defender gets his head turned.

That move--and the quickness and footwork that go with it-- is the reason why 6'11" 270 # Cousins has a future in the NBA lottery and 6'10" 270 # Williams has a future as security for Miley Cyrus concerts.

How many 3-2 zones do you guess the Cats have seen this year? My guess, without research, is 1, including last night.

I don't really get the put-down.

1. Why in the hell does everybody on this site stand up for Mcbee? He is terrible. How in the world he has a reputation as a shooter idk. The second he shoots and misses another 3 will be a second to soon.HAHA

All the old racist white poeple LOVE macbee. Its creepy.

Don't be ridiculous. It's an absurd TN homeboy thing and it's pitiful. It's nothing like incorrectly calling it racism, but it's pitiful nonetheless.

My point is when you have the most talent in the league, you shouldn't expect teams to come in with a man to man defense. Therefore you should expect to see a zone...he said they didn't prepare for a zone defense, not they didn't prepare for a 3-2 zone defense. I am surprised if they don't see a box and 1 on wall or some sort of hybrid defense to take him out of a ballgame. To not prepare for a zone defense is just incredible...

Not just a zone. A different zone.

His coaching must not be that bad; his team adjusted and won.

Where do all those racist white people you know hang out?

Shoney's.

While he has missed too many threes, I disagree that he is terrible. I went back and looked: the top rebounder was Prince with 8. McBee was second with 6. He did this in 16 minutes of play.

Maybe I watched a different game, but I thought he did a good job on defense. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the only reason he came out of the game was because of foul trouble.
