Something I noticed about Sutton's INT last week

McCarron is not one to be sacked alot or to be forced to scramble. Once he goes pro and he ends up at a team who has a sorry offensive line, he will struggle ALOT. He will be out of his comfort zone.

You can say that about Alabubbas running backs also. They have not been too impressive in the NFL the last several years.

Wow props to big Dan on this play. He knocked the lineman on his back and then had to step over him lol. I hope we play with this same passion come Sat. GBO

Ingram is the only one who has struggled. Bama rb's have been legit as I would take any one of those including Lacy as a vol.

So I was watching the highlight of Sutton's pick last week and I nixed that Big Dan absolutely destroyed his man on that play and forced shaw to scramble and throw the pick.

If big dan gets after McCaron like that consistently Saturday then we might end p seeing the backup come in a little early

Can someone please describe this pick? What point in the game was it, where S.C. was on the field, length of throw, length of return, etc? Just anything you can remember about it. I'm having a hard time remembering that play. I'd look it up but don't have access to youtube @ work.

the pick part was easy honestly. It was obvious the second it came out of Shaw's hand. I was sitting in (behind the play) and read it instantly. McCullers flushed him out of the pocket and Daniel Hood was ready to destroy him. The YouTube clip doesn't give Hood's angle on him any credit. Sutton has shown flashes of greatness, but the pass was a lob that only Sutton had a chance at honestly.

I'm pretty sure Eric Berry was a safety.

He was. Occasionaly they moved him but not often because he wasnt natural there. I believe Sutton is best cb since Johnathan Hefney. Unfortunately I think Hefneys best season was his freshman season.

Agreed, we better enjoy watching him for the next 2 years, no way he'll be here for his Sr. season. By the way, has Riyahd seen any action yet?

It depends on how far we come along under CBJ. If we could possibly be playing for a NC his senior year I'll bet he stays.

No, I meant that if he is this good as a true Fr. and continues on this trajectory, he'll have an opportunity to leave for the NFL after his Jr. season.

I'm missing what you guys are seeing here.

Sutton's playing solid for a freshman CB, but far from spectacular. His measureables and play to date don't add up to a 3 year player IMHO.

Glad he's on our team. Hope he continues to improve such that he has a chance to get drafted eventually.
