Something that really irked me Saturday

Proud to say I've never left a UT game early. A 12 hour round trip is to long to not enjoy every bit of the game we can.

Recall days back in Section C ('old folks') when we had great teams...gobs of fans left at start of 4th quarter. Now that I'm an "oldie", it still irks me.

I don't care what others do with their tickets. If they want to use half of 'em, it's their business. If they want to get there early and stay late, that's their business, too. I would rather they leave quietly than sit there and boo as happened a lot this year. I wonder why they bothered when they leave early and the game is not decided. When the fat lady is warming up, it doesn't bother me at all.

P.S. I stay for whole games even when we're getting destroyed just to see our next line up of possible hope. Case in point Tee martin against Nebraska 1. It showed me we had hope for our 98 NC run :rock:

While were on the topic of something that irks us, one thing that irks me, and it wasn't so bad Saturday because there was not a huge crowd there, but it's when people have to get up 100 times during the game to go to the restroom, concession stand, or whatever, and you have to either stand up, or try to move somehow to let them out, and I swear, it's always right when a play is about to happen.

We were in East TN for Thanksgiving and took 7 people to the game besides me.

We had the good seats, but in the shade.
They were COLD and Windy for the women folk.
I made a deal.
We can leave at Half, but you are taking me to a bar while you girls go shopping........And you're driving back to the house.

I'll turn in my Fan card, but I did watch the entire 2nd half on 6 TVs with replays and had some chick bringing me beer.........That wouldn't have happened for me at the Stadium.

p.s. I Would have rather stayed, but it worked out for me.

I know people want to try to beat the traffic, but come on. I drive 4 hours to get to Knoxville and I stay the whole game. I wanted to sit in there and finally soak in an SEC victory. Maybe it's just me.:no:

Just be thankful that many showed. Another 10k less, and it would have looked really sparse in Neyland.

I was with you. Freezing my tail off so we left about 3 min left in the game. But since we're all pissing and moaning, can I get some Gulden's for my Smokey Dog?

I stayed until the security guards told me it was time to clear out. It was my last home game as an undergrad. It was bittersweet. I'm just glad they got the win.
