Something to think out with Davis committment!!!!

He's in college. It's a football game where everyone has been drinking. What is he going to get in trouble for if it isnt opened? I'm sure I can walk around with an unopened beer if I feel like it. Stadium rules dont allow it? Then throw it away and its over. There is nothing to get in trouble for if you are 21. It's a ridiculous exaggeration to call him an idiot.

His trouble is not related to bringing a single unopened beer in a stadium above the age of 21. Get off your high horse.

Get off YOUR high horse, you uppity clown

I doubt stadium officials would report any student, athlete or not, for what Kenny allegedly did, but they certainly have the right to. UT is supposed to be a dry campus. An athlete, like Hall, is well aware of the rules and consequences. I know the fact that UT claims it's a "dry campus" is a joke, but Hall, being on Martin's sh!t list is indeed an idiot for trying to bring a single beer into Neyland. I mean, what is a single beer gonna do for him? A less understanding usher may have reported him to Student Judicial Affairs. Stupid idea, poor execution of stupid idea.

Now where in the original story or analysis was Kenny not acting dumb?

He didn't refuse to give it up. Didnt act like an ass and like a victim. The officer was on Kenny's side. How did he "act" like an idiot? Dry campus yet across the street is littered with beer cans. Poor execution? Yes. An idiot? No. That's outrageously harsh. Talk about an over reaction to an of age kid and a beer. Its a trivial reason to call him an idiot. I guess with that logic everyone who has ever been in trouble for alcohol is an idiot for tailgating with it. I understand if you resist and cause a scene with a cop. Kenny did not. The cop was on his side.

One a side note imagine Bray bringing in a beer to TBA, I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem "throwing" it away haha.

Touché. Unfortunately he would have to walk back to the parking garage to he has something to throw it at.

Sure, he deserves credit for acting appropriately. Still it's idiotic to be in that position. I don't know Kenny - but he at least made an idiotic decision. Again, what was one beer going to do for him? I may be more lenient if it was another player allegedly doing this, but Hall had a lengthy suspension and lost substantial minutes. I'm guessing it was because he was acting like an idiot.

Again, I'm not saying he's a terrible person. Just disappointing that we have pretty much not heard a single positive note about him since he committed to us.

I didn't call him an idiot. I'm saying it's not the best decision he should be making, especially in his situation where one more strike and he's done. Is something going to happen? Probably not. But the point remains that Kenny probably shouldn't be doing like this, considering his stance with the team.

If, again, this is true.

I don't see how it makes a difference unless he was in rehab for alcoholism. It's game day. He's in college. Practice is over and he's trying to enjoy himself. Big deal. He didn't cause trouble and was supported by the cop. If he makes a scene and it's a KPD issue then yes I agree. Hell I've snuck a beer into the jacksonville stadium during UGA vs UF. It's irrelevant and victimless. That's my opinion. But to each their own.

I'm not on a high horse. That's the point. I'm not calling someone an idiot for doing something everyone does.

So because everyone does it it's ok? Athletes are held to a high standard, CCMs athletes an even higher standard, and Kenny an even higher standard.

It's not victimless. Hall was allegedly in position to risk his standing as a student at UT. I don't know what the consequence is if an usher reports a student doing that, but does it just not bother you that our athletes do dumb stuff?

For example, we hear about football players doing really dumb stuff fairly often. Do you think there is zero correlation between that and our on-field performance?

Because its common and mostly accepted. Because you can do dumber things. Because its something that people do who aren't idiots and don't start trouble. He got caught, gave it up without hesitation and didn't create friction with KPD. Ever sneak alcohol on a cruise ship? Are people that do sneak it on idiots? No.

I have no idea what Martin would do if he found out about that, but I would guess that he would not be pleased, and would probably take disciplinary action. Kenny, already a victim of Martin's figurative paddle, made an idiotic decision to potentially put himself farther into Martin's doghouse. Just a bad decision.

No correlation. See Florida. Ohio State. Georgia. I can go on. Tyler Bray throwing beer bottles is bothersome. Tyler Brays court appearance for Jet skiing does not. Bar fights bother me. An athlete at a bar or club does not. An athlete sneaking in a beer and accepting its removal without a scene does not. They are in college and they should be able to enjoy themselves when their responsibilities (practice, film study, HW, study hall) are taken care of. It's something lawyers, doctors, teachers have done at football games. I know a Georgia senator that snuck in a beer to a Georgia game. I guess he's an idiot. Smh.

If they are on probation and a zero tolerance policy where if you don anything wrong and you're kicked off the cruise....no I defintely wouldn't, if I did I'd be an idiot.

Nothing came of it ok, but he put himself in a bad postition. Say the cop has a power trip, decides to blow things up, altercation occurs...Kenny is gone.

All to sneak in ONE beer?

Some cruises have that "policy". But they end up making you take it out of your bag.

You keep missing the point. Is that senator on probation, does he have a zero tolerance policy on him, if he has one incident is he out of office? If so, then yes he was an idiot.

He's a senator. Most of your moves are under a microscope. I'm not saying sneaking a beer in the stadium deserves the Rhodes Scholar. I'm just saying calling him an idiot is too harsh.

Like I said, If you'd already been in trouble multiple times on the cruise and you were told, you so much as breathe wrong youre kicked off and can find your way home....you'd be a moron to try and sneak on alcohol.

He may get frowned on, but he likely wouldn't be kicked out of office, get real.

If it was anyone else it's not that bad, but when you're in what kenny is its dumb.

Darick was on zero tolerance, do anything he's gone...if he was trying to sneak beer into TBA would we call him dumb, i sure would.

I'm not so sure Da'Rick would be ok with a scene-less situation. Again, causing a scene is idiotic. He did not. It seems he was respectful and just wanted to watch the game.

The Senator wouldnt get kicked out of office because it is not a big deal! I thought the story was funny. At least the cop wasnt the drama queens yall are. My God. Anyways I'm done talking about it because no one will change anyones mind and it is irrelevant
