Dominated is a stretch.
Not really. Look at the stat line. Lood at Tennessee's stats compared to their average. Literally, nothing the pundits said about this game came to be. Once that game was 14-3 it was never in doubt.

Yeah but but that doesn’t mean dominated. Dominated is what UGA did to Oregon or what Tennessee did to LSU.

Our schedule looks very promising for an 11-1 finish. What's the worst case scenario? No playoff but face Clemson in the Sugar Bowl? That wouldn't suck.

They'll definitely have a good bowl opportunity but the playoffs are still on the table. Before any of that, this team needs to get better, learn from Georgia, and completely focus on winning those last three games however they can.

That’s exactly how I would rank as well. I’m kinda worried about Oregon though. I’ve seen a couple projections online with them at 5 and us 6 which is BS. How you put a team with a 46 point neutral site loss (and no big wins) above a team with a 14 point road loss to the same team is beyond me.

You didn't lose to #1. You were #1 and you were pretty much dominated.

Yes, Georgia won the game in dominating fashion. This is a classless comment by someone who has so little going on in their life they have to come visit the forums of opposing teams for negative attention. I would tell you to go back to the Georgia forums but they probably despise you there too.

This is true. It's also true that your coach doesn't trust Door Dash Bennett enough to just keep playing. He's a turnover waiting to happen. Good thing UGA has defense that good, because Bennett is still a liability.

Agree with all these comments. Proud of Vols! Come back, regroup, heal up, and close out 11-1. I hope we get a good bowl game or playoff spot and win out. If anything I learned yesterday it is 4-5* players on defense really make a difference. Their defense really put us on our heels. We gotta recruit a better D.

That poll thing is simply a function of a couple marketing groups setting the weekend up to make money. No way should UT have been favored at UGA. Just a set up. Walk the talk in the final ratings and polls when it doesn’t matter the next weekend and speaks for itself.

Yes really! We outplayed UGA in the second half : UGA 3 UT 7 (The only stat that matters are points). So obviously we made some good adjustments at halftime (The sign of a good coach). Holding UGA to 3 in the second half says allot about our defense.;)

What adjustments did we make?

How many passes did Georgia throw in the second half? Unless I'm mistaken - 4. Kirby was content to eat clock and play defense in the second half. Don't be mislead by second half numbers.

I would rather look at it on the positive side, rather than think Kirby let up on us. Sorry!

I'm not a coach so I don't know, but it limited a team that scored 24 points in the first half to just 3 points in the second half. Something worked better!

Here’s an obvious adjustment by GA. They decided, for whatever reasons, to run the ball in the 2nd half. I can speculate on their reasons to run the ball in the 2nd half but who cares. The running game, for most teams, is typically less explosive and yields less points.

We still held UGA to 3.6 yards a carry. The defense outside of the first quarter did what they needed to do. Our offense was awful yesterday

So, Tennessee lost to the team that will presumably be #1 this coming week. Is that really such a big damn difference? You came here just to post that $hit? Characterize it however you want, it was 14 points on the scoreboard. Now pi$$ off.

Be kind. Dont kick the puppy. I mean, he does admit that he is "slo".

I'm not putting down Tennessee. I just think people grossly underrated the Dawgs.

Nahhh. Nobody underestimated the defending national champion in their home stadium. If anything, our players overestimated you and underestimated themselves and were not able to rise to the moment because unlike GA, they had not "been there before" (at least not recently). They lost the mind game before they started and then let events in the game spiral down. You can't do that against an admittedly great team like GA.
