I actually do associate "Soul Man" with the Blues Brothers and not Sam & Dave, even though I love both versions. Probably because the first time I heard the song was seeing the clip of the BB performing it on SNL. I thought it was their song, but I was too young then to know what a "cover song" was.

Everything in Blues Brothers makes me think of Blues Brothers. Chicago. Carrie Fisher. Akroyd. Ray Charles. Such an underrated movie. I think it holds up better than any classic comedy.

I always think of Danke Schoen from the parade scene.

It's more recent so I don't know how long it will last but since Thor: Ragnarok every time I hear Immigrant Song I think of the bridge scene.

Ha! My kids call it the Thor song and they’ve only seen the trailer.

But while I am a huge LZ fan whenever it gets to the lyric “Hammer of the Gods” I immediately picture Jack Black in School of Rock.
