Your taste in shows is hideous. Boardwalk was fantastic all the way through. Granted it peaked at Season 3, but that show was never stupid.

Huff, you posted a pic of a kid holding a gun, with the tag of something like "the most antagonistic villain in tv history was taken out by something so small" a few weeks back in a different thread, maybe twd or got.

I swear to christ i thought you had blown the sopranos ending for me. I kept waiting for tony to get popped by this little kid.

Love GoT, but I don't find the TV version up to the level of storytelling that Chase did with The Sopranos. The symbolism and scattered undertones of the series are amazing.

I think Sopranos is better than GOT, too.

Tough to compare the two, especially with GoT still running its course.

Sopranos had a smaller world with a closer knit cast of characters; Chase was a master at examining nuances and deep story telling on a micro level.

GoT is on a much larger scale with multiple story arcs and x4 the number of characters. The shows producers also chose to freely jump from macro storytelling to micro and back; and their transitions are so skillful done, you barely notice.

Exactly. You don't know what happened to Tony, but whatever happened, dude is looking over his shoulder the rest of his life. Leave it open-ended. No need for a hero's ending, or a tragic end.

Did you watch the finale when it first aired? I did and I was seriously mad like most people thinking that the cable went out. I think it was a horrible ending, but then again, maybe it wasn't because, like the Seinfeld ending, no one will forget it.

I couldn't make it through the last season. I was so frustrated with the characters' inability to learn that I wanted to knock their heads together. It got to the point that it was almost depressing. There was some really good stuff at times, though, so it's kind of a shame.
