I think we should amend the Constitution to provide that a person cannot be POTUS if, at the end of the term, they will be over the age of 78.

Should have been handled in the primaries. Of all the people in the field, this is who the party selected. Even when it was clear he didn’t want to come out his basement and that he was struggling mentally.

I'm not thinking of Biden so much as long term.

Which just adds to the evidence and confirmation of your complete partisan stance regarding this joke of a Presidential administration. You pulled the lever for him knowing his age and stupidity, and quite likely his corruption (you’ll never admit that though). Don’t now say it’s time to change the sheets after you led the charge to shat the bed to begin with. Own it you hypocrite.

Biden, as old as he is, is an infinitely better choice than Trump, that's why I voted for Biden. I didn't particularly want to. I don't think either is the best that the country can do, not by a long shot.

And i really don't think the GOP is very solidly behind Trump this go 'round, nor the Dems particularly motivated with Biden in '24, either. Do you?

No I don’t. That is not the point though and you damn well know it. Biden is infinitely worse than that arrogant ass Trump was. Biden was and is everything people on the left claimed Trump is and was. It was obvious to every sane and objective voter then and now the evidence just mounts daily. There is always a third option at the polls whether you want to admit or not, you and apparently millions more went the partisan route that led us to the shat show we are currently experiencing. Again, don’t try to throw age out there when you were all for it before.

Infinitely better is a bit of a stretch. The problem is we are a bunch of sheep led by sheep. There is no shepherd anymore. Biden and Kamala really!? Tulsi Gabbard was a way better choice but she wouldn’t tow the party line. Please… Infinitely better.

That would be ageism. I would agree that beyond a certain age, they have to have a cognitive test though. And it has to be performed by an independent group of physicians with no attachment to the President or his staff

Just a little fact regarding the SOU address.:

In the Year, 2023, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union address occur within a week of each other.

This is an ironic juxtaposition of events.

One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature of little intelligence for prognostication.

The other involves a groundhog.

The Democrats would vote for a bag of used kitty litter as long as it had a D next to its name. Give the Republicans some credit in that a lot of them actively and publicly don’t support Trump. The only Democrat criticism I hear of Biden is that he isn’t socialist ENOUGH. No one I have heard criticizes his anger, senility , lies, or pettiness.

Or paid Stormy Daniels for sex. That should also be a disqualifier.

You know, the irony of that scenario is that I actually don't fault Trump for it. I mean, I'm not a fan of it -- don't get me wrong. But it's not in the scheme of things a big deal given her profession.

What I think is so obnoxious about it is that Trump coopted the holy roller base and that same base, claiming to be morally superior and judgmental of so many others, were willing to ignore it. Which makes me once again question the sincerity of that segment of the GOP electorate.
