I honestly don’t even see them making it to 5 wins. I think they’ll beat Charlotte and SC state but Vandy and Mizzou are tossups IMO. I think they’ll split those 2 games.Shane Beamer will be looking for a job after the 2023 season after a 5-7 record in 2022 and probably another 5-7 record in 2023 for South Carolina.
The fans on the Catspause message board think they can be 7-0 going into the Tennessee game but i think their record will more likely be 5-2.I agree. KY fans crack me up. They think they can reach elite level lol. They won’t be recruiting top 5-10 classes any time soon. Throw NIL into the mix and forget about it.
They both did. VT had finished a season ranked once before Beamer took over. You said so much there that just isn't accurate or is unreasonable...I mean, you think Bowden didn't benefit from cable? FSU began its rise right around the same time as ESPN. Anybody coaching football in the 80s and 90s benefited from cable. No, Bobby Bowden built a program from the ground up. He took over a nothing program, played anybody he could schedule, and created a top-tier program without the hype of cable media. Beamer had a HUGE boost from the endless ESPN hype around Vick, and playing a very soft schedule for most of Beamer's time there. ESPN created that VT bubble, when they were almost relevant. Now, thankfully, VT is back to mediocrity. Both Beamers are overrated, IMHO.

You seem to have some kind of personal animus towards VT and/or the Beamers, which is fine, but that's just factually incorrect to say Beamer didn't build a program or was a flash in the pan.
If I were Mark Stoops, I wouldn't leave Kentucky for Auburn. It's not a big enough step up. He won't really be able to recruit any better at Auburn than he can at Kentucky, and the Auburn head coaching job comes with MUCH HIGHER (and more unrealistic) expectations.I think Mark Stoops will be a someone Auburn will be talking to.
Kentucky is getting second string talent out of Ohio that he would not attract at Auburn. The culture down there is completely different for a midwestern kid.If I were Mark Stoops, I wouldn't leave Kentucky for Auburn. It's not a big enough step up. Mark Stoops has the best job in the SEC, maybe the Power 5. His pay increases every year from now until 2028. He gets an additional $250k for reaching 7 wins and and then for every additional win after that. He is a “made” guy in Lexington and he’s never even been to Atlanta. Why would anyone leave that to go down to that dumpster fire on The Plains, where they will knife you in the back at the first sign of problems and your instate competition is Nick Saban? No thanks, I’ll keep my cushy 7-9 managed expectations gig with Satterfield down the interstate instead of Saban. If I were Mark Stoops, I wouldn't leave Kentucky for Auburn.
