We’ve been in the bottom 10% of D1 in pass defense pretty much all year long

They literally cannot run downfield against even average receivers. I doubt we have even one DB on this team who would run sub 4.6 laser timed

We need leadership on that side of the ball and a couple of good head hunters in the back in of the defense. Cocky shut down defender and a linebacker you want to avoid at all costs.

That’s why we play so much zone and give 10 yards of cushion to every receiver. We simply cannot play man to man because of lack of speed and talent. You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken 💩. Don’t know why that’s so hard for people to understand. It’s not going to be solved until we get better DB’s in here. I do agree that Martinez has to go though. He ain’t helping the situation.

I agree but just like every other team that has struggle, it is going to be the same on story.
Let them get their recruits in here and we give them a 3 - 5 yr cushion to work it out until it becomes blatantly obvious.
In the past, it was the HC or staff that found another gig for a coach and moved them out to fill what they needed.

I mean two of our biggest contributors at corner are converted safeties. And our safeties are in contention for worst coverage duo we’ve ever had.

Let GA go get it but I don't think they Repeat.
Final 4 maybe Michigan, OSU, GA & USC/TCU no particular order.

I don't think any of them would start at another power 5 school. They are so bad that it makes you wonder if They really played football in high school
