The defense is the biggest concern. I'm sure the offense will make the plays in the 2nd half. They are moving the ball on them.

Foster isnt having that bad of a game. He is making positve yards we he get the ball. We need more ball control

We're not hurting at RB at all. We're really hurting on the offensive line. They can't run block worth a damn!

Whatever happens the defensive rush needs to improve. no pressure on qb. can't give a man that can throw AND run time...

Foster is doing OK. That was not an easy pass to catch. The penalities killed the drive. The Zebras are going to help the chickens. Like I say you could call holding on EVERY single play if you wanna!!

We can't control the ball on the ground. Our offensive line is totally incapable of getting a consistent push against even the worst of defenses.

I'm still not convinced Newton is a good QB either the big passes he made (The TD pass, the one to Rice and the like 14 yard gain) High School freshmen could have made them.

Our D is looking like shifty besides the 2 Ints.

I think we need to focus more on containment, and down field (man-to-man) coverage than bringing heat and playing a zone.

Newton is not a good passer in my opinion, so make him pass. Oh yeah and stopping the run might be nice.

Two things we have to do in the second half in order to win.

1.No more penalties on 3rd down, we have had manageable third downs, then destroyed by penalties.
2.We need way more pressure on Newton, he has been able to sit back there and if no one is open he will run.

what do you guys see as the main adjustements we need to make for 2nd half? Obviously, we need something on run D, but they're completing the short passes too...what needs to happen?

I never said he wasn't getting positive yards but he's picking up 5 when there is a possible 10-15.

He isn't explosive, and like I said blades of grass take him down.

He a good RB, but just from what I've seen at UT and expect UT to have not up there, not real deal holyfield.

I hope he proves me wrong in the 2nd half.

As for the ball he missed. Your D-1 playing at Tennessee, you catch that ball.
