South Carolina Gamecocks @ #7 Alabama Crimson Tide (SEC on abc) Noon

I can only imagine the furor in Tuscalooser if SCar pulls off a win. I don’t want to imagine the gnashing of teeth and complete come apart by our fan base if Bama walks into Neyland next week and beats us after losing to both Vandy and SCar.
It looks like Bama really plays down to their competition and has trouble being motivated against unranked teams. They will definitely be motivated against us, so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

I want to see how the UT responds against Florida before I really temper my expectations though.

South Carolina couldn't get out of their own way in this game. That fumble and horrible decision to kick a long field goal looks like it has done them in. Alabama still has to drop in the rankings especially if Tennessee wins.

Considering it's Bama, they'll probably be ranked in the Top 5 after this game.

You only save 13 seconds taking a timeout there!!! What an idiot!
I’m guessing here, but I think the point was it makes it 2 minutes left at when 3rd down was reached (with the free timeout at the two minute warning)…theoretically giving you the ball back with like 1:50 (or 1:40 after the punt).

More time is almost more important than the timeout given the clock rules being worked with.

Big winner today is the next Alabama coach.

The loss and a shaky home performance against SC at home is definitely going to get a solid "DeBoer is not the guy" conversation going in Tuscaloosa.

It'll take a couple of years unless they really crater but seeing "DeBoer is not the guy" won't surprise anyone after these last two games.

Yep and that was his last timeout I think. He’s going to need to score again.
It's like the difference in getting the ball back with one minute 10 seconds versus 1 minute 30 seconds. Most Middle School coaches are better gamesmen than Beamer.

Run the math both ways and you'll see how dumb it was.
