South Carolina has its greatest recruiting class ever

and will still lose to the VOLS
I think the SC and KY games are toss ups going into the season. We all know that Spurrier can outcoach Fulmer/Cut/Chavis all day long, which means he doesn't have to have anywhere near UT's talent to get the win.

So if we play them at night we can out coach them

SC beats us once in 13 years and KY not since Reagan was president (22 yrs). These are not toss ups.

KY is not losing any significant players from what was a very good squad by their standards. They played UT really close and this year the game is in Lexington. I'm not saying KY will win. I just expect it to be a competitve game. As for SC, I never count Spurrier out.

You got that right. That have been, for the most part, playing us tough for some years now. And no, I never count our the evil genius.

Thats the kind of arrogance that lead to '02 and '05. Not saying you are arrogant...but I definately dont think a win is in the bag. Look at last year's game where we had a couple fortunate tips and it was still a one-score game. Plus the games have been close for the most part over the last several years.

Come on, I wasn't even born yet when Kentucky last beat us. I predict that, if it does ever happen, it won't be for a couple more decades.

I have a feeling come next year this will have been SC's second best recruiting class ever.

Andre' Woodson is not on the same level as Jay Cutler. Plain and simple he will not be close to starting in the NFL his rookie season.

Plus, it is not as though Lexington is a rabid environment. This team won in Athens.

agreed. the reality is with Spurrier as head coach, SC is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Fulmer will have his hands full with SC in the next few years. The same is true for Alabama.

There are now 5 coaches in the SEC who have lifetime winning records against Fulmer: Meyer, Richt, Spurrier, Saban, and Tubberville. Thats the first time thats ever happened.

Fulmer has to face 4 of those every year. These are not going to be happy times for Fulmer at the end of his career. I see Fulmer finishing 8-5 or 9-4 most of the time. But with most of the fans here not even willing to discuss whether or not Fulmer should be fired after going 8-5, there is little hope for change. Most of them seemed resigned to the status quo. In fact, Fulmer may even get a raise when he loses 4 SEC games.

But still # 3 recruiting class in SEC east this year, and #4 SEC east overall recruiting class for the past few years. Spurrier got some talent to work with, but South Carolina still have a long way to go.

If UT plays SC with the talent level close on both sides of the ball, I think Spurrier and SC have the edge. He's had Fulmer's number to many times. We just watched that happen in the Outback Bowl with Paterno coaching from a wheelchair.
