This should thankfully shut up certain posters who dismiss Tennessee's SEC achievements with the usual "SEC hasn't made the FF since 2008!" mantra.

Mitchell and Coates were terrific, and Dozier hit 4 clutch FTs to ice the game. And I always appreciate Tina Roy's 1970's ish feathered hairdo.

Congrats to Gamecock Nation and Coach Staley on the achievement. May Tennessee follow suit tomorrow.

This was a very good game, WOW! did anyone see Dawn Staley give A'ja Wilson a tongue-lashing on the side line. I think Wilson played less then 10 mins in this game.

My thoughts exactly! So glad they can't rub that in our faces anymore. And I, too, have always liked Roy's do. Come on, LVs! Follow their lead tomorrow night!!

Great win for South Carolina and the SEC, now Tennessee Lady Vol's need to make it two SEC teams in the FF.

I'll tell you what guys....you beat Maryland.....then beat UCONN...we'll beat Notre Dame or Baylor and we'll meet in the championship game. Is it a deal.....?

Dawn deserves this. She's worked very hard for it.
Get ur way down to Tamoa and, if you like steak, make sure to hit Berns steakhouse. :good!:

USC has started a bit sluggish in both Greensboro regional games, and had to come from behind to win them. Strange considering that they have been shooting the ball pretty daggum good in the games:

1st rd (Savannah State): 1st half: 72.0%; 2nd half: 57.1%; game: 64.2%
2nd rd (Syracuse): 1st half: 62.1%; 2nd half: 48.3%; game: 55.2%
3rd rd (UNC): 1st half: 33.3%; 2nd half: 52.0%; game: 43.5%
4th rd (FSU): 1st half: 68.0%; 2nd half: 52.2%; game: 60.4%

The 1st half vs UNC was shaky, but thus far USC is shooting at a 56.1% clip from the field, and also 39.2% from the 3-pt. arc, and 72.3% from the FT line. Which are all well above their season averages, so they are stepping up to the challenge for the most part. They just need to start a game with some fire and purpose - they did that for the first 2 games, but that was at home in CLA in front of huge supportive crowds....

Bern's. Yes. Used to eat there back in the 70s when I was young. When I got out of the military in '73 I moved to Tampa for work. My girlfriend at the time, her father owned an insurance company that insured shipping fleets and her parents would take us to Bern's about once a month. Don't know if it is true now, but at the time they had the largest wine selection in the world. And the steaks were excellent.

No doubt I hate them and the jerk, but after that blowout vs Texas I just cant see them losing now - it would take something like an ice cold shooting night or some refs with quick whistles for it to happen.

Only thing that could happen to give any other team a chance to beat them is if Stewart were unable to play. Even without her UConn probably has more than enough weapons to win convincingly through the FF.

Come join us down in Tampa next weekend. UCONN can't win just by showing up; they can have an off night like anyone, especially if they have to play a close game.

Beating UConn is like beating a bad habit, hard to break em.

But SC if you guys get there, you will have all of our support.

Yeah SC will be like Pokey Chatman's LSU squads during the mid 00s, they will be good and the Lady Vols will be too. Go SEC.
