If we play Uconn, I like it cos our players will get to see up close and personal there is another level we have to get back too. Making to the final 4 with this squad is a good thing.

There is potential that this will be the worst loss in program history...but if they take it for what it is (a first step back to elite status) and realize that they were short handed, I hope that the players are not demoralized and use it as a building block.

Oh well, I remember a bully whoop my butt in the 2nd grade by the fourth I Whoop his butt. Once I figured, I need to get stronger and developed a better strategy.

I could careless about the score, as long as the Lady Vols play hard and they fight, Uconn is good, they are the standard, I don't care its not Pat coaching so I could careless about the score.

First lets get past Maryland. Go Lady Vols.

That's why I think the Gamecocks have a chance against UCONN in the finals. If not then, UCONN has to come to Columbia next season.

I will be very interested to see how the USC-ND game plays out, since I think most would agree those two teams were 2a and 2b this year. You could make a strong argument for either team which is better, and now they will settle it on the court....

We're going to give it everything we've got, from the team to the coaches to the fans. If I'm not exhausted leaving Amalie Arena on Sunday night then I'm not a rooster.

Survives is the right word. ND scored, what, 2 points in about the last 8 minutes of the game? I thought they were going to break it open when they went up by 12. Allen and Turner didn't play well for ND but Welch and Mitchell didn't play well for SC.

Welch appeared to have a very good game. Thank goodness she is a senior.

I see Ct. put 44 on Maryland in the first half--just 4 fewer points than we scored on Maryland in the game! No need to worry about offense, Warlick?

Well, you know there has been soooh much doubt about whether or not UConn had a better offense than the LVs, that I guess this "clarifying" point just needs to be made over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (Big Inhale) and over and over and over and over.

I don't think anyone doubts that. Everyone know that UConn is the team to beat so I don't understand why we are being compared to them.

I think what needs to be said is that Holly needs to understand as a coach the importance of offense since scoring points is how you win games. The point being our offense shouldn't have been inept against Maryland. There is no defense of the coaching staff or players for only being able to put up 48 in that game. In the future if you hear Holly say we spent the entire pre-season concentrating on defense then you will understand why our offense can be so bad against the better teams. Players must develop offensive skills to win games because you want win if you can't score.

There's just some posters here that like to live in the passed glory days & can't seem to set themselves free from that. They see UT & UConn of the 90's & want to re-play those games in the NOW age.

well the Lady Vols held Maryland to 58 points

just like the other team did in the Final Four

a couple of them missed lay ups and chip shots that sure would have went a long way toward beating Maryland,how this is all CHWs fault,I just don't get

could the offensive game plan be better ? obviously a yes

could a player or two have stood up and made a couple of baskets late in the 2nd half to carry them to the Final Four? a yes, somebody has to make some shots,the plays were there

and I want even go into the injury situation,we all know who were missing because of attrition

of course,hind site as a fan is easy to do and I'm just as bad as anybody else as far as that goes,there is only one more thing that i can add to this years effort

get healthy and I will be ready for some basketball come fall

as all ways Go Lady Vols :clapping:

I think we do need a better offense but we also need to stop missing layups and open shots. The coach has no control over that. Some games Carter shot the ball well and in other games like the Maryland game she was horrible.

Right now Muffet and Luigi are the two best coaches in the game. All you have to do is listen to them answer questions. ND beat USC because Muffet is a better coach than Dawn.
