A potentially very interesting game flying underneath the radar. Spurrier has quietly got the Gamecocks into the Top Ten. Auburn coughed up a lung against Clemson, but they have talent.

Last time South Carolina beat Auburn? Anybody? Bueller?

1933.

Unless Auburn's defense grows up very quickly (or grows a pair), Lattimore is going to run all over them for 3.5 hours in a rout.

Whoever wins the turnover battle wins this one. Other words Carolina can't afford 4 ints from Garcia

Honestly, I just don't see a way Auburn's defense doesn't get completely shredded this week and the three weeks following with Arkansas (Wilson isn't great, but has Auburn shown any signs of stopping anything?), Florida (Rainey + Demps are going to go all NCAA Football series-style on the Tigers), and LSU. Even LSU should be able to put up a good amount on Auburn and win comfortably, mostly thanks to their defense.

Im going with Auburn here. It's about time SC's luck runs out. SC is more talented but somethings wrong over there.

Neither team has put together a complete game this season. I think it will be a pretty good game.

When's the last time the defending NC had a losing record the following year???

Not hugely confident about SC. Odds are the offense is going to struggle even against Auburn's swiss cheese defense. And SC's D has struggled the past few years against Gus Malzhan type spread systems. Although if Auburn has Trotter dropping back a lot, Taylor Ingram and Clowney will have a field day.

Garcia is going to have to not suck, because you can bet Auburn will load the box and limit Lattimore.

I could definitely see Auburn winning this game. Garcia has been all kinds of awful so far this year. I also think their secondary is weak, but their pass rush is spectacular, so it kind of balances out. Auburn's defense is very bad all the way around. But even bad defenses can stop offenses that are too one-dimensional. I think USCe wins a close one, say 31-28.

This is gonna sting a little but I think Matt Simms would start at SC this year. Spurrier really is having troubles in the qb area. Shame for you thats the case I really thought this was your year.

If Garcia plays well, we should win. This is a bad Auburn team. It would be a huge win for us, though.

I keep telling myself that Garcia is due to play worth a damn. Maybe he finally will.

Wouldn't go that far.

South Carolina is a top ten team, hosting an unranked opponent. Hard for me to consider that a major win.

You play a team on a quasi regular basis and haven't won since 1933. I don't care if auburn sends the debate team out onto the field, that's a major win.

SC and Auburn played in 1933 with SC winning.

The two teams didn't resume playing one another until 1996. Some gators have an uncanny ability to over exaggerate.

If you had lost ten times in a row to an SEC team and hadn't put up a W against them in 78 years, I think you'd be pretty psyched if you beat them tomorrow.

LG...wouldn't Auburn's debate team be a 3 point favorite over their football team this year? At least their debate team can play a bit of defense...

Again, neither team played one another for a period of 63 years.
