It's not very often that you can you're really looking forward to a football game between South Carolina and Mississippi State.

Tonight is the exception. :rock2:

mitchell throws a pick on first play

Let's hope that this isn't Ainge as well...

Matter of fact, both teams defenses are killing it. This may be a preview of our game Saturday evening. Both D's playing lights out while the O tries to catch up.

Okay...that is the fifth time they've shown the 1992 MSU/UF game since 7:00...Florida lost...Superior hasn't won in Starkville...we get it already...

If it's this ugly, does it still count as the first game?

So far:

Neither team is very good.

The new "clock rule" is stupid and has done nothing but screw up the flow of the game, thus far. Every other change of possession had a #&%* TVTO (sorry, LIO). I am not seeing how this is going to help shorten the game at all. Now, a few less pizza, cell phone, and beer commercials might work???

Spurrier better hope it was just a laceration.

I am very glad that we don't ring cowbells.

The clock rule is ridiculous. i hate it.

Miss St. has a very good defense. Or USC has no offense. I am going with States D. But MSU has no offense, and now their qb is out of the game. Should be a good 2nd half.

Anyone else have anything to say??

It might just be a laceration, but it's obvious that it's hindered his mobility. USC might be better off playing the 2nd string QB.

Now that Henig might be out, MSU could be much more explosive offensively with their RS Frosh QB.

Quite the boring half, indeed.

Where is Spurriers offensive magic? I've seen nothing stellar as far as playcalling from him. The only decent play was the pass by Smelley (what a name) and he was lucky the receiver made a good play or it would still be 0-0.

That had to be one of the ugliest 4th down plays I've ever seen. 4th and 1 and the SC d-line was literally 2 yards into the MSU backfield.

Classic Lou Holtz Moment #2 of the season: Just before halftime, they went to the studio to preview the halftime show, and upon Rece Davis asking Lou and Mark who is number one in the country, Lou responds, "I'm gonna tell ye why Steve Spurrier should be tickled at halftime!"

...and just when you think SC has gone totally into the tank offensively, a 54 yard TD pass thrown by a wide receiver. I was wondering how long it would be before Spurrier resorted to something like that.

Mississippi State looks really bad now that they are having to throw the ball.
