Steve just declined a holding penalty and took 2nd and 7 from the 6 rather than 1st and 13 from 3. Sound familiar?

Last week: "South Carolina has found its new QB!"

Three interceptions later...."maybe not."

They had an offense last year though. Now they have nothing outside of Cooper.

And a defense that also gave up like 35-40 points a game to power 5 conference teams.

They're worse this year, but I'm not sure it's as drastic of a drop overall.

Slightly better than Mauk, but they called a very safe game for him and USCjr was willing to oblige. The offense is still pretty bad.

There wasn't a lot of passing yard production by their offense. There's probably some difference in this game's outcome in the differing completion rates (Mauk probably couldn't dream of completing 75% of what he threw).

But most offenses will continue to run safer offenses with true freshmen QBs, so that clearly does create some impairment as well.

Yep. And it sounds just as stupid now and it did then. Just get ready for it again today when we play Arky....it's coming.

Fun thing I saw on twitter:

"In 2013, South Carolina finished #4 in the AP Poll with FIVE seniors on the roster. How does this happen?"

(For reference, they finished 11-2 in 2013.
Clowney - among a few - left
They went 7-6 in 2014.
They're currently 2-3 this year.)
