As for Pitt, I can buy their 9 national titles. My preferred source for that is CFB Data Warehouse, all sorts of poll history, records and discussion about it, generally pretty credible. Most Tennessee fans would hate it because it credits Alabama with 12 and Tennessee with only 4, but there are a lot of idiot homers around these parts.

My deer lowered! Pitt runs 4 straight times for about 70 yds. and a TD. Ray Graham (Pitt RB) is averaging almost 10 yards a carry without any really long runs. Did USF just quit?

What I read said that most of Pitt's early championships were before polls existed. So they're based on someone retroactively determining a national champion.

True, I don't think the AP poll existed until 1936, but records for football games previous to that are complete enough for a few decades that they can do a reasonable job.

Haha. So when are you trading that 'Cane tag in for a Vols one?

Also, could you imagine if Miami would have stayed in the Big East instead of hopping to the ACC. You'd probably be looking at a BCS Bowl every year :-o

hell yea! and our basketball team sucks too...everything sucks right now. i cant leave the canes now. man...i gotta ride it out with the boys! i follow the vols too..only SEC team (really only team outside of the canes) that i care about
