I hope SC gets better. I am sure Wilcox will do well there. They will feel the effects of the scholarship reduction. I like college football when teams like (a legit) SC and UCLA are good. Our time is right around the corner. The Vols will rise back to the top!

Wilcox is a rising star and I agree he will do fine at USC. How can he not with all that talent? I think their scholarship reductions end after this year. They will be a much improved team next year and Wilcox is a good year or two away from getting a HC job.
I like it when USC is good also. They probably did us a favor in the long run by hiring away Kiffin and they are the ones paying him 6 million to leave, not us(Of course we paid Dooley to leave so maybe its a wash?).

I attended SC, still pull for them over and above every team but da Vols. The fact of the matter is and it kills people I work with that are huge Georgia fans & alums, but SC has given back as many national championships as either UT or UGA has won in the last 30 years. Don't hate ... just win baby.

Now that Aliotta is retiring it will be interesting to see if Wilcox goes for the Oregon DC position.

Don't know where Oskie is to straighten the OP out regarding CDD, so until he jumps in with more sophisticated writeup here is some quick and dirty advice for the OP:

Why would anyone go to Oregon over USC? USC is a much better job (just like Tennessee it has an actual football tradition much longer than 10 or so years).

It's amazing to think about the number of previous UT coaches who have went on to coach at USC. We were all upset when Wilcox bolted, but I'm sure he saw the inevitable demise of the Doofus. However, I do hope Wilcox fails at Tennessee West just like all of the other coaches who have ended up there after they left the beloved Rocky Top.

Go Vols! Risetothetop (soon please)

Why would you wish him bad karma? It's the nature of the beast. It happens every yr. for almost every team.

I always felt UT had a strange connection with Oregon. Jerry Green...Ontario Smith... Linda Benzel-Meyer...

He was born in Eugene and is an alumni of the university of Oregon.

Ok - fine. Then I can see how he may want to coach there (but I still think he should perhaps build up his resume some more as DC at USC and hold out for the next HC job opening at Oregon).

Why are you bitter at Wilcox because he seen the writing on the wall here at UT. I for one hope he has great career at USC and am thankful that he tried to be part of UT's comeback. He was just here with the wrong head coach.
