Southern Cal vs. Arizona State

There were just a ton of dumb decisions that cost ASU that game. They really deserved that loss.

Welcome to ASU football under Erickson. The guy gets a lot of raw talent then coaches them into the ground.

I'm really mad right now. Really ASU, really?
Most years, ASU has the talent to hang with any team in the country (see Wisconsin, Oregon this season) but they haven't had a good coach since they were in the WAC.

I know Milo, I know. I just really wanted USC to lose. :cray:

I am watching the late ASU v. USC game, and the annoucer just said that Lane was doing a good job under USC's current circumstances (the probation). I don't know how you can praise the guy, considering that the penalties (scholarship reductions, not bowl bans) don't kick in until the end of the season. USC has had top 5 classes for several years in a row. I think that he has done a less than average job of coaching, with the talent on hand. Please don't bash me for evoking the name of this guy, but he has underperformed in my opinion.
P.S. I must confess that my hatred for USC>W has kept me up later than usual this football season. GO VOLS!!!
:finger3:The Kiffins.

Hey Queefin, remember that time where you said UT had more talent on D than Boise St.?

Well, USC has more talent on D than UT. Wanna guess what Boise St. did to Hawaii today?

At current moment.. USC has far too many first year starters...Only one starter returning from last year.

And btw, I'm pretty sure both Casey and Malcolm Smith were starters last year at the very least. Also, two senior LBs and a Kennard is a freakish athlete. That LB corps was touted coming into the year. Their sack leader came back in Nick Perry. They have a senior CB in Williams.

Right now on their defense they have:

6 JRs or SRs
4 SO
1 FR

Yes, they are lacking in comparison to UT (sarcasm). But nice try there Queefin. Maybe you can make excuses like you did at UT when you lost games you shouldn't have while touting your close losses.

Watched the first half, then fell asleep at halftime. Caught the highlights on SportsCenter this morning.

That kick return that Arizona State for a touchdown was absolutely inexcusable. There were like, 6 or 7 missed tackles on that return.

All in all, USC should have been up 20-7 at the half, but we blew way too many opportunities in the first half that kept the Sun Devils in the game in the 2nd half.

It was the other way around. The Sun Devils kept USC in the game.

I think SC had 4 drives that got to the red zone in the 1st half, and came away with 7 points total.

Twas 3 drives now that I look at it.

Because ASU's offense made multiple mistakes in the first half. Outside of their opening drive, the Sun Devils never moved the ball past mid field, putting the Trojans in excellent field position.
